Rainforest tranquility atop a Glorious mountain

Escape city life and relax in the tranquility of Mount Glorious. This beautiful mountain, just 45 mins from Brisbane CBD, boasts rich rainforest walks, sweet mountain air and unique bird life. In this spacious BnB you can gaze dreamily at the forest from your bed or one of the cozy nooks while listening to nature's birdsong; do yoga in your own Zen room; play board games by the fire; read eclectic literature; have a picnic; visit the four lookouts or sip a good coffee. You'll be rejuvenated ! Guests are provided with detailed directions to the BnB via email after booking. It has its own separate entrance and car park. I live at the other end of this long rambling house so am available for any requests if i am home. But i believe people come to this place for some peace and quiet so I try to find that balance between privacy and helpfulness- my motto is: 'You can bother me but I won't bother you' Embraced by lush rainforest, the mountain hamlet of Mount Glorious, at 680m above sea level, is just 45 minutes drive from Brisbane city centre. It is quiet during the week and attracts visitors to the Maiala National Park on the weekends. It is populated by artists, writers, musicians and nature lovers. The property is set on acreage within easy walking distance from the rainforest walks, cafes and the magnificent world-class sculpture garden (Phoenix Sculpture Garden) set amongst the thick lush rainforest - an absolute must to visit! Although best accessed by private transport there are a few other options if needed. A school bus runs on weekdays to and from The Gap, $5 one way. Connector public transport bus from The Gap to city. Host goes up and down mountain almost every day if you need a lift. Its very important that each guest reads the Welcome Folder to familiarise themselves with the space and the idiosyncrasies of living in this rainforest environment. Wifi is available. The mountain has fast internet speeds but on rare occasions it will simply drop out for a few seconds then reconnects. Mobile reception is best with Telstra and Optus but for other carriers, a walk to the top of the property will give you reception. Guests are advised to bring extra firewood if they plan to stay indoors all day by the fire. We provide enough for the evenings.
