Ash Barn, Duddon Valley
Spacious converted barn on the border of the Lake District National Park. Brilliant base for walking or cycling with good amenities in the local village, Broughton in Furness. If you'd like to book longer than 4 weeks or shorter than 2 days please don't hesitate to get in touch. We can also offer late checkout if available when we have enough notice. 6 Duddon View is a recently converted barn that maintains the character of traditional slate buildings. The downstairs is open plan and features a wood burner, kitchen with dish washer, dining table and sofas. There is also central heating for convenience. A utility room contains washing machine, tumble dryer and clothes airer. Outside, in the garden, there is a patio table and chairs, with a fire pit. You can make use of the whole property while you are staying but please be respectful of the other residents. The garden to the right as you come out of the back door is the property of No.5. so please do not use this as a cut through to the car park. If you need anything during your stay please don't hesitate to contact myself or my wife Victoria through the airbnb app or website. Duddon View is the quiet side of the Lake District with some stunning walks within and around the national park. Parking is available for 2 cars, the parking space numbered '6' plus any space to the left of it is ok to use. Nearest train station is Foxfield but there are no paved roads to walk to Duddon Bridge and buses are very infrequent so we would recommend you call a taxi. The Barn is on the A595 that runs from Barrow-in-Furness up to Whitehaven. It means you won't get snowed in but you will get some traffic noise and it can get a bit busy around rush hour.
