"Pelican's Turning" executive studio overlooks the Clarence River. You are embraced by the beauty and tranquillity of its river life. You are within a 10 min walk to all of Macleans' River Street cafes, boutiques, bakery, Pub and supermarkets. Only a 20 minute drive to Yamba and 1.15 hours from Coffs Harbour & 1.30 mins from Byron Bay. The studio is fully equipped with modern kitchen, breakfast bar and stocked pantry. You have private access. Perfect for couples & singles. No children please. Your backyard is the Clarence river with all its beauty and tranquility . This is the only property in Maclean on Airbnb that his direct river access. The private studio is located on the ground level of our home. It is fully furnished, full size kitchen and bathroom with shower. Kitchen has all your necessities like a coffee maker with pods, toaster oven, kettle , toaster. Your pantry , full size fridge and freezer is stocked with a variety of cereals, jams, honey , butter, cooking oils, fruit, eggs , soups, chips, coffee , tea, milk, bread and complimentary items to drink and snack on. Complimentary wine and beer, sparkling water, still water all provided. We love to spoil our guests. Wake up refreshed on a Queen size Koala mattress with premium fheavy weight French linen and bedding. Luxurious Cotton bath towels and all shower products are provided. All mattress and pillow protectors are washed and sanitised after each use. Lounge is covered in washed and sanistised throws to keep in line with the Covid cleaning protocol for your protection. All cushion covers are washed and sanitised as well. Free Wi-fi and Netflix. You have private access via side garden path ( there is a sign at the beginning of the path ) to sliding doors at the rear of the house. BBQ facilities are provided and space for 1 -2 cars in driveway or grassed area in front. Outside you can relax and unwind on the daybed or outdoor settings under cover or riverside with a good book, coffee or a glass of wine on the grass. We have the most spectacular sunsets in this part of the world. At dusk you will see the flying foxes fly over the river. You have your own outdoor dining area with bbq. Breezy and cool in the warmer weather. You will have access to a shared laundry with washer and dryer. Detergents provided. We do have friendly cats and a my neighbours dog Heidi is part of the space:) The cleaning fee includes the intensive COVID -19 cleaning process and protocol I signed up for. Rest assured all soft and hard surfaces have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised for your safety. It is a lengthy and intensive process. All bedding including pillow and mattress protectors are removed and replaced with washed and sanitised ones. All lounge cushion covers and throws are replaced with a washed sanitised set. I take the utmost care to insure the studio is spotless and sanitised. All soft furnishings are covered in sanitised throws. Please respect the no shoe policy. I have guest slippers for your comfort in the wardrobe. Private entrance. Access is only through the garden side via the paved path. You will see an “Entrance” sign directing you. Please do not use the black gate as this gate belongs to our neighbour. The key will be placed in a key lock located by the studio sliding doors if we aren't there to greet you . Please insure you place it back when leaving. However, if I am home I will leave the door unlocked for you and leave key on door. You will have access to the laundry and patio area outside and river front area. Please keep within the perimeter of the place which is from the pelican statue to black gate door. We will leave you alone to enjoy your holiday. Botero café is just up the hill across the road and is great for coffee, breakfast or lunch. It is not open in the evenings. The pub offers great food at affordable prices. You can drive or walk up to the hill top to see a birds eye view of the Clarence. Take a picnic lunch if you like. I have left a picnic blanket in the cupboard. Yamba is gorgeous for its beaches and the Pacific Hotel is a big fav for all tourists and locals. Yamba offers many shops, cafes, restaurants and markets. We have boutique brewery "Sanctus" at Townsend. I highly recommend for lunch. Our Super IGA is amazing. They have a carvery, sushi bar, awesome deli and their liquor outlet has a wonderful choice of wines, spirits and beer. Getting around in Maclean is very easy. All the shops, cafes, pharmacies and hospital are very close. There is a public swimming pool you can use to cool off. Enjoy the monthly Maclean market. Yamba is only 18 kms away and you have access to gorgeous beaches and their café lifestyle. Slow driving in Maclean and then you hit highway speed limits when you leave Maclean. Enjoy walking over to the Show Ground, very old historic cemetery. Every night you will see the bats fly over at sunset. The town does close down after 5 pm and shops are mostly closed on Sunday’s. The local Spar supermarket and Super IGA are open daily till 8pm. We offer generous breakfast items. There will be a variety of herbal and regular tea and coffee , milk , bread, butter and jams are available in the pantry , fridge and freezer for you. I have also complimentary wine, beer , water, snacks , ice cream , sauces , oils, spices, herbs and soups for quick meals in the pantry . Please help yourself. Guest slippers, beach towels, and picnic blankets are located in the wardrobe. You will find a blue folder with additional information about Maclean and surrounding towns, the studio and internet password. I have also printed a copy of the tips and rules and placed on fridge for quick reference. Please be warned the slipway is very slippery when wet. Please keep behind the roped area. We do live upstairs with our cats. We are mindful to keep or footsteps to a minimum when walking around. The cats however like to chase each other at times. Apologies in advance. BBQ is there for your use. Please clean the BBQ after each use. I have left cleaners under bbq shelf and under sink kitchen. If you like to fish we can provide you with a fishing rod. ( you must have fishing license)
