WiFi The Barn at Kurrajong Barn & Cottages is a unique style of rural accommodation, perfect for family re-unions, celebrations and weekend getaways! Centrally located in the heart of the Granite Belt Wine region at Ballandean, 3 mins walk from the local tavern and village. The Barn has 4 bedrooms plus 1 open loft bedroom. Total persons allowed in the residence is 10. Enjoy the open fireplace, glass of wine in hand or relax in the open entertaining area with views to the vineyards and beyond. Our beautiful old barn was converted into a home, last century. Once a fruit processing barn, it was lovingly restored and transformed into what it is today, rustic and charming country accommodation. State of the art tank water filtration system. Our rates are for up to 10 guests, however, Infants under 2 are not counted as 1 guest. **Vintage caravan accommodates 11th guest at $100 per night. Shared bathroom with The Barn Peppertree and Loft rooms. Teabags, Espressotoria coffee machine, sugar, salt, pepper, oil provided. A 5 minute walk takes you to the village of Ballandean, with great coffee, a tavern and bakery, and general store selling fuel also. Please take note of our bedding configuration which can not be changed. For more than 10 guests we have a vintage van for an extra charge. Also noteworthy, The Loft room situated above the Peppertree room can not be closed off, due to the nature of a Loft. The floor is timber construction with carpet so can be creaky. Also note, the Birdsong twin room adjoins the D'vine views queen room with a dividing wall and doors, however they don't have ceilings to eliminate noise from both rooms. The Barn has a soaring ceiling which is why we have chosen to retain the beauty of the height of it. Small wedding enquiries welcome. The whole space and outdoor area is for our guests. The master suite has a private 1st floor balcony. You may also walk the property, however , respect other guests who may be staying in the Blue Wren Cottage or Kookaburra Cottage, and the wildlife. Small weddings may be possible, contact host. Our property caretakers Larry and Sue Andersen are available by phone if you need any assistance or have maintenance issues. I can be reached on mobile at most times if the above are not available This neighborhood is very quiet, and peaceful, surrounded by some excellent wineries and rural properties. A short walk will bring you to Ballandean village, and great coffee at St Judes Cellar Door and Cafe, serving Fonzi Abbott coffee! The Ballandean tavern serve lunch and dinner meals, and it is in close walking distance. A bakery and general convenience store in the village are 4 mins walk. This home is not suitable to large groups wanting to make excessive noise after 10pm. There are nearby neighbors and other guests to consider in adjacent homes. Situated on Eukey Rd, Ballandean. Be sure to check out my guidebook in this listing for all manner of wonderful experiences on offer here. You will need your own transport in this area. However, we recommend local wine tour guide companies if you wish to visit several wineries in our region. It is also possible to cycle to many of them within 8 km's. BYO Bicycles !! It is highly recommended that you come to Ballandean via Stanthorpe along Eukey Rd rather than the highway which is undergoing several delays due to ongoing roadworks in 2021-22. Please respect the local wildlife. You may encounter wild deer, kangaroos, rabbits, many many birds and on rare occasions, snakes in the summer months. Keep a safe distance.
