Newly renovated grade II listed Longhouse uniquely situated in the stunning Avon valley less than 5 miles from the coast and all the glorious beaches (Bantham/ Bigbury etc) this part of the world has to offer. This fully equipped high quality property has so much to offer, from chilling by the river, lounging in the hot tub, walking through the grounds taking in the abundance of nature. A walled courtyard makes a lovely spot for outdoor meals while sunsets can be enjoyed from the porch. Private and secluded but not remote this beautiful listed property is uniquely situated being tucked away in the Avon Valley with uninterrupted rural views over looking the river, however you have easy access to many beaches, towns (Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Totnes and Dartmouth) and villages for all sorts of adventures. Whilst preserving the traditional aesthetics these have been combined with a green ethos aiming to create a carbon neutral property. No expense has been spared which makes for a very relaxed comfortable experience. There is an electric car charger in the parking area. The farmhouse styled kitchen is the hub of the house and includes a electric Essie stove with an induction hob, to prepare meals galore. There is a wonderful long inbuilt sofa down the whole side of the kitchen to relax on whilst keeping an eye on the views. There is outdoor dining in a walled court yard with bbq’s in different locations depending on where you fancy eating. A table tennis table in the back walled garden provides ample fun for all. On hot days the river is a perfect place to cool down for a dip or to practise fishing (a license can be obtained in the local post office). It is a magic spot for two families to enjoy comfortably if starry skies, peace, tranquility and space help you relax the days away after enjoying all the local sites have to offer. Salcombe and its sailing community are 10 mins away and Kingsbridge with all its shops are restaurants is just 3 miles away. The local pub, postoffice and a wonderful butcher and farm shop are all within walking distance. It is a truly magical spot. Guest have access to the whole property down to the river. They do not have access to the stables (as these are rented out ) or to fields that have animals grazing in them, or to the fields on the opposite side of the river as these are also rented out. Whilst there are beautiful walks around this part of the world cars do help get you where you need to be quicker. Many of the lanes are single track with passing areas leading down to the beaches but that is the norm in this part of the world. There are buses available from the top of the hill which take you into Kingsbridge, to Totnes or Plymouth. The closest train stations are Totnes and Ivybridge. Biking is great fun but be warned there are ALOT of hills in the part of Devon which is great for fitness but can be somewhat trying for kids..... There is an electric car charger to plug in. This is a lived in family home - it is always clean and tidy and bedroom cupboards and drawers will all be clear but please do not expect every downstairs cupboard to be empty.
