Downstairs there's a spacious kitchen with woodburner, rocking chairs, gas cooker, small gas fridge (40L) and solar usb outlet/charger and big table, there’s also a hall area with pedal powered pianola and sofa. A cosy double bedroom upstairs, a big bathroom with roll top bath, sink and proper wc. Then a large bedroom with two single beds and modesty screen and comfortable chairs, this room can double up as a living room. The outside space, has been described as a cathedral in the woodland, come and practice some forest bathing, light your own fire pit to share stories over toasted marshmallows. Surrounding your cathedral space there is the estate with walking, fishing, woodland, an apiary (we sell honey and may let you taste some mead), play ping pong, garden games or lounge in hammocks. We are on Route 3 of Whitchurch cycle rides (Website hidden by Airbnb) The cottage is set on its own with self check in. Well behaved dogs welcome. Large basket of firewood supplied more available at small charge. On the North Shropshire/Welsh border set on an estate with woodland and lakes, The Engine house is detached, surrounded in trees and very peaceful. I live nearby. You can walk to a local farms that sell steaks and burgers and eggs. Just a few miles from Whitchurch, the nearest supermarket, Starbucks and McDonald’s are just 1.9 miles away. Plenty of attractions nearby, cycle route, canals, meres, Hawkestone Park, Beeston Castle, Chirk Castle, Chester, Shrewsbury, Llangollen, the Pontcysylite Viaduct... About 3.5 miles from Whitchurch, a market town with train. Then there's the canals... Although no mains electricity we have just introduced a solar powered usb outlets for phones or the fairy lights and a kitchen light. There’s a gas cooker, fridge and oven. All linen and towels provided. You might want to bring slippers as there are hard floors and wellies/walking boots for the woods. The woodburner powers hot water and radiators but there is also a gas valour heater, plenty of extra blankets, feather duvet on the main bed (let us know if you'd prefer a synthetic one), synthetic on the singles.
