Gite Peyret is a charming fully equipped holiday apartment with large private terrace surrounded by stunning countryside situated in the Hautes-Pyrenees. This Region has so much to offer all year round. If you want to relax in the sunshine, cycle the famous Col's of the Tour de France, walk in the stunning mountains, ski, be pampered in the local spa's and enjoy great food and wine, this is the place for you! Gite Peyret is in a beautiful location, the scenery is breathtaking. This characterful apartment forms part of the ground floor of an 18th century farmhouse and still has many of it's original features.The accommodation is on one level with its own private entrance and car parking space. The apartment has an open plan living and kitchen area with a wonderful original fireplace housing a wood burning stove which serves the central heating, great for those winter evenings after a day in the mountains. All wood is provided free. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, oven and gas hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge freezer and all that you need to make your stay very comfortable.There is also a utility room with extra work space and washing machine. There are 2 bedrooms. The cosy double bedroom has plenty of storage for a family. There is also a cabin bunk room for 2 children. The entrance doors open onto a large private terrace with fabulous views across the valley, with plenty of outside seating and gas plancha. There is free WI FI and all bedding, towels, toiletries are provided. There is also tea, coffee, sugar, milk and some basic supplies. You can help yourself to herbs and vegetables that are growing in containers on the terrace. A cot, highchair, push chair, baby carrier back pack are avalible on request. We have lockable storage for bikes and skis. We live in the property above so are happy to offer help and advice if you need it but we certanly will not be in your space, feel free to come up and see us anytime. Your parking space is right outside your entrance gate, so very easy to unload your luggage, shoppping, bikes and skis! We will be here to greet you on arrival to make sure you have all the information you need. Our neighbourhood is quiet and tranquille, the birds will be the first thing you hear in the morning. The views from your terrace are stunning. Gite Peyret is located at the end of a quiet country road so there is no passing traffic except birds of prey flying down the valley...but just 10 minutes away in Bagneres you will bars and resturants. We are only 10 minutes from the lovely spa town of Bagneres where you can jump on a bus ( 4 euros return) which will take you to the ski resort in season. The train station in Tarbes is 28 kilometers away and the Lourdes/Tarbes airport just 25 kilometers away. Wonderful caves to visit and the famous Sanctuaire Notre Dame in Lourdes is only 26 kilometers away. Or just step outside your door and walk, the options are endless! The apartment parking space is sutable for a car/people carrier/vw camper. We cannot accomodate large commercial vehicles/camping cars. We do not have a power point to charge electric cars but there are charging points in Bagneres. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding any of this.
