Melogranino Farmhouse

The house is a renovated 2 floor farmhouse comprising 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (3+2 upstairs, 2+1 downstairs), one big kitchen and a double living room. All the rooms are bright with modern furniture to complement the rustic beauty of the house. The kitchen opens onto a beautiful covered patio. The house is set on 1 hectare of land with a pool and BBQ surrounded by olive and fruit trees and a herb garden. The property is framed by vineyards, adding to its charm and relaxed ambience. Maria, our trilingual (Italian-English-French) house manager, will greet guests and be available during the stay. The house is very private and in the middle of nature yet it is only a slow scenic 5-10 min drive from the town of Chiusi. Chiusi is a small-medium sized town with supermarkets, bank, hospital, restaurants and a train station with direct trains to Rome and Florence. Just outside of Chiusi we have Chianciano Terme, renowned for its thermal baths. The water there is famously good for the liver! The immediate surrounding area offers a variety of beautiful medieval towns (Montepulciano, San Gimignano, Siena, Orvieto…), excellent restaurants both in the towns or in the surrounding countryside and of course wine tours and wine shops (enoteche). Here you are in the Montepulciano and Chianti Senese wine area. Perugia is about a 1 hr drive away and Florence and Rome are both about a 1.5 hour drive or direct train ride away. In the house you will find pamphlets with information the area. To get to the house, you can either fly to Florence, Rome or Perugia and then rent a car or jump on a train to Chiusi. Wherever you come from, we strongly suggest to a rent a car to really explore and enjoy the area! In Chiusi you can also rent cars and bicycles. Windows are fitted with mosquito nets. ** For Coeliac or Gluten Intolerant guests, we can help find supermarkets as well as restaurants. ** We love pets and we want our guests to be able to enjoy their holiday with their furry buddies. However, please note the property is not fenced off from the vineyards. ** In an attempt to do our bit for the planet, also when we are on holiday, we are asking our guests to be more conscientious with regards to their consumption of heating and electricity. We will do so by charging these utilities as extras, at average cost (to be paid in cash based on metre readings at check in and check out). ** A 1EUR/person/night tourist tax will be also be collected in cash at check in.
