Staying in the former home of the Baillif of the Bruchhausen Estate is a truely unique experience: the rooms are full of antics and memories of the family that make for a very homely atmosphere. It is the ideal venue for a skiholiday and throughout the year for hikers (Bruchhausen is situated on the Rothaarsteig-hiking-trail) bikers and nature enthousiast (the Bruchhauser Steine on top of the hill are an important tourist attraction and the natural and archaelogical highlight of the region) You will be staying in the two upper floors of the historical building "Rentmeisterei" that is part of the Bruchhausen Castle Estate. From the window, you enjoy the view over the park and the Castle and on the archeological site "Bruchhauser Steine". Private driveway „Gaugrebenscher Weg“ and parking for 4 cars, Private entrance, free Wifi, garden with terrace. Very spacious, renovated, historical interior 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms: entrance - bathroom/guest WC - two living rooms - one dining room - small kitchen wooden stairs leading to upper floor with the three bedrooms, one of them with connected bathroom, and another bathroom. You will be staying in the two upper floors of the guesthouse. Access from the private garden with private entrance. The ground floor with separate entrance is used as an office during weekdays. Me and my family will be happy to show the guests around the Bruchhausen Castle Estate and to answer their questions, when we are around. We live in the Castle, just accross the park. The village of Bruchhausen is ideally situated between Sauerlands two main ski resort, Willingen (10minutes) and Winterberg (20minutes, ) and also has his own, family friendly 2 slopes ski resort (Sternrodt). In summer, many possibilities to hike or bike. The village has a grocery store, a bakery, an ATM and a few cafe/restaurants (e.g. Gutscafe) public transport (bus) to Olsberg and Brilon, next train station: Olsberg attractions: Bruchhauser Steine, hiking trail in front of the house, Sternrodt (skiing in winter, summer bob sleigh in summer), Gutscafe and gardens, small museum at Gutshof (open saturday 15-17h or upon request for groups), fishing, deltaplan. The micro brewery at the Castle/Gutshof is currently closed while looking out for a new tenant.
