Luxury homely open plan barn with log burner

Furnished to a high standard, homely touches, wooden floors and beams. Super spacious, a great space to relax and unwind. Your hosts James and Emma are in the main house to welcome you and help with any requirements. The barn is in the Welsh countryside in a very peaceful spot with beautiful walks and pubs. Close to both Ellesmere, Oswestry and historic Llangollen, it has great rail links to Chester and Shrewsbury. Pool heated from 1st MAY till 30th SEPTEMBER. A small dog is permitted. In the Summer months from MAY through to end of SEPTEMBER guests have access to a shared heated outdoor swimming pool. Parking is free, off the road and next to the barn. There are games, books, DVD's table football and pool for guests to enjoy. Walkers and cyclists are welcome and bike secure storage can be provided for a small fee, no storage for bikes in the property itself. We have a friendly dog so anyone with a fear of dogs is not advised as she loves to come and say Hi! There is a large private seating/BBQ area for chilling and socialising. Bedroom 3 is located on the ground floor making easy access for those with limited mobility. Fishing, shooting, horse riding, white water rafting, bike rides can all be arranged with prior notice and subject to seasonable availability. I also have a luxury wooden lodge that sleeps 2 within walking distance of The Barn. We live next to the barn and our garden is easily accessible - we would appreciate it if guests would stay in the allocated fenced garden and gravel patio area for The Barn. The pool will be shared with us and our family and open from 10am till 6pm. We live in the main house within close proximity to the barn so are on hand most of the time. Fantastic walking, pubs and local shops are within a short distance of the barn, The Boat and The Cross Foxes at Erbistock (10 minutes drive) offer superb views of the River Dee and excellent gastro food. Llangollen is 20 minutes drive away. Shrewbsury is 30 minutes drive and Chester is also 30 minutes drive away. We are 15 minutes drive from Gobowen Train Station which has links to the historic Cities of Chester and Shrewsbury which offer boutique shopping, superb restaurants, theatre and great walks. The Barn has walking routes on it's doorstep with easy access to the Market Town of Ellesmere with its beautiful scenic lake walks, with the Boathouse Restaurant offering excellent food. There are two superb gastro pubs within 10 minutes drive of The Barn - The Boat at Erbistock and The Cross Foxes at Erbistock, both well worth a visit. We have a shared driveway but parking is free and walking distance to The Barn. There is a private outdoor space for guests in front of the barn. We have 1 dog whose enormously affectionate but the barn is privately fenced so our dog does not have access. We have another Airbnb property in the grounds of our house called The Kasbah - it sleeps two people and can be rented in conjunction with The Barn.
