The Gite de Goutoulas is a beautiful cottage set in the hills above Saint Antonin Noble Val. There is an enclosed garden, patio BBQ area, decked terrace and stunning, far reaching views from the swimming pool. There is parking for several cars and a covered car port. Inside the cottage there are 3 bedrooms - 2 doubles and 1 bunkbed room, a openplan lounge / kitchen /dining room and a shower room with WC. Electric heating throughout and a log burning stove in the lounge. Newly refurbished. On the Aveyron river, on the border between Quercy and Rouergue, the medieval town of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val was founded in the 8th century around a former Benedictine abbey. At the heart of the old town, near the covered market, the former town hall, or Maison Romane, dates from 1125 and is one of the oldest civil monuments in France. This building has a belfry on top and is currently home to a municipal museum devoted to Prehistory and local popular arts and traditions. All around, picturesque winding streets invite you to take a walk around. And the route is all the more pleasant for being dotted with artists' and craftspeople's shops and fabulous bars and restaurants. There are plenty of beautiful villages near to Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, many of whom have won the coverted 'most beautiful village in France' awards. Cordes-sur-Ciel, Puycelsi and Bruniquel are all on the doorstep. The town of Montauban is 30 minutes away and Toulouse is 1 hour 15 minutes away. The UNESCO world heritage site of Carcassonne is a 2 hour drive.
