Quiet room overlooking the garden
Single room in two bedroom bungalow. Apologies to male guests, but this B and B is for women only. 20 - 25 minutes walk from the centre of Stroud or there is a bus every half an hour at the bottom of the road. Self service breakfast included. Views up to Rodborough and Selsey Commons from the living room and kitchen, easy walking distance of Stroud Canal, the Cotswold Way and other footpaths and close to the Nailsworth-to-Stroud cycle track. There is on-street parking. The bed is very comfortable, the room is carpeted, and is next to the bathroom. There are empty shelves in the cupboard and pegs on the wall and door with hangers for clothes. There is a chair and bedside table. You are welcome to help yourself to teas and coffee in the kitchen, heat up food .... and sit at the kitchen table and in the garden. Regarding physical distancing, please be aware it a small space with a shared bathroom and kitchen. Please email me first before requesting to book if you have any questions about the requirements around Covid. The neighbourhood is on the edge of Stroud in an area of housing built mainly in the 1960s. There are footpaths nearby that take you up onto the Commons. There is an Aldi at the bottom of the road and a large Sainsburys about half a mile away. The nearest eating places are the Clothiers Arms or the Golden Fleece - or Sainsburys - and Stroud itself has many great cafés and restaurants and the Farmers' Market on a Saturday. I am around quite a bit so available for any help or to give suggestions about being in the area. There is a bus every half an hour from the centre of Stroud to the bottom of my road. I don't use WIFI myself, instead I use a LAN cable. For guests to access the Internet I have a LAN cable adaptor available. The adaptor is connected to the router and the internet is carried through the electricity system of the house and LAN cables to a laptop in the guest bedroom. Your laptop needs either an Ethernet cable port or a USB port. If it doesn't have those, then apologies but you won't be able to have constant access to the internet. You are welcome to switch on the WIFI for periods, but really I am trying to keep the EMFs low in the house. If you are someone like me who prefers low EMFs, then my house is great as they are really low!
