This charming three bedroomed cottage is truely a home from home. Sitting within the beautiful Severn Valley in Mid Wales, Hafod has its own dedicated lane off the main road, with plenty of parking space for guests. Surrounded by green fields and with panoramic views of the beautiful countryside, the cottage is so cosy and warm in the winter period whilst light, spacious and inviting during the summer months. Hafod is a real gem located in one of the most beautiful areas of rural Wales. The cottage boasts many of its original features, including beams, inglenook fireplace and tastefully exposed brickwork. At the same time, the cottage has a wood burning stove, a modern wet room with power shower and all other modern facilities. Tea, coffee and milk will be available on arrival. Access to the entire cottage, with garage facilities available. We will meet and greet all guests as they arrive, and we will be available to answer any questions about the area and local amenities. Caersws village has two late opening shops that are able to provide all necessary victuals, a post office, garage, Hotel/Restaurant, two pubs and a Railway Station. The river Severn is within walking distance where guests can either walk along the river bank, or fish for Trout or Grayling (in season - day tickets available at the local shop). An international clay pigeon shooting range is 4 miles away, local market towns just 7 miles away. Powys Castle (National Trust) is within easy reach, as is Portmeirion and the Snowdonia National Park and numerous other attractions. Excellent beaches are just 1 hour away from the Cottage by car or by train. With no light pollution, views of the night skies are an astronomers delight. The Cottage is well placed for both Rail and Road links, with a main line station just 10 minutes walk away for regular trains to Aberystwyth on the West Coast of Wales, Shrewsbury on the Welsh/English border and the cities of Birmingham or London. Numerous self guided local walks are in abundance, making the cottage an excellent base for walkers. Narrow gauge steam railways are easily accessible for railway enthusiasts, and sandy beaches are accessible by either train or by car. A slow cooker is available in the Cottage. Complying with Covid enhanced cleaning regime
