This ground floor flat is located in, the West end of, the large town Paisley. It has a dedicated parking space for your car & the bus stop to Paisley & Glasgow is nearby. The flat is close to Glasgow airport & the University of the West of Scotland. We only want to host guests who are respectful of our property and belongings - and who will follow our simple rules for the flat. We have two other flats nearby on Airbnb. Search for "Paisley Pineapple Flat" & "Paisley Panda Flat". Our first request, if you choose to book, is that you look after and respect the flat (otherwise this place is, sadly, not for you!). Our second request is you try, when you can, to take your shoes off at the door - we need your help to keep the carpets looking great. Our third request is that you ... enjoy your stay! ... and contact us if there is any reason you wouldn't leave us a five star review (we want nothing more than for you to be happy and comfortable during your stay). 'The Cosy Cactus Flat' is a two bedroom, ground floor flat located in the 'West End' of the town centre of Paisley - only several miles from Glasgow. The entire flat has been furnished with Airbnb guests in mind i.e. neutrally decorated, practical and stylish - it is also nearby amenities and the main roads leading into Paisley. The living room is a decent size to chill out and relax - it also has a dining area. The lounge area has a three seater sofa and two single chairs to relax on - the storage pouffe houses a blanket that you can use if you desire. The lounge has a 43", ultra high definition, Samsung Smart television. This TV has a terrestrial aerial plugged in so you can watch anything on Freeview HD. The TV has apps such as Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime so you can log into your accounts and continue were you left off! There is WiFi in the flat that provides internet access and saves you from using your phone data. We have sourced a, premium brand, 'Sonos' One speaker for the flat so you can listen to your favourite music or radio stations with quality sound assured! (we have provided a tablet with the Sonos and Spotify apps installed to make this easy for you to use). The dining area in the living room has a rectangular table with up to six chairs available. The kitchen has most things you should need during your stay. We provide a fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave, electric fan oven and ceramic hob. Every day cooking utensils and crockery are stored in the cupboards - plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, cutlery, pots & pans, chopping boards etc (We are happy for you to use our stuff but we EXPECT you to clean your own dishes after you use them and then put them away. Any mess you have made using the hob and oven should ALSO be cleaned - if you choose not to clean up we charge a minimum of £250 for a kitchen porter to get the kitchen back up to scratch). We provide some condiments and cleaning goods to get you started - sachets of; salt, pepper, coffee & sugar. We also provide; tea bags, tea towels, washing up liquid, cloths, kitchen roll, bin liners and an iron. Behind the kitchen door is an ironing board. An integrated washer dryer machine is housed in the kitchen for you to use too - and a clothes horse, if needed, is stored behind the drawers in the triple bunk room. We hope that you don't need to use our fire extinguisher, fire blanket or mini first aid kit during your stay - these are kept in one of the kitchen cupboards. The main bedroom hosts a double sized bed, with storage underneath. There is a set of drawers and a wardrobe for clothing. In this room we have a small LCD TV in this bedroom with an Alexa Fire Stick HD plugged into it - this allows you to log into your Netflix, Amazon Prime accounts etc. The second bedroom has a triple bunk (double at bottom, single up ladders at the top) and a separate single bed. We have a pop up bed stored under the triple bunk - The Dyson vacuum is also stored under this bed. This bedroom has a bedside table and mirrored wardrobe for clothes. You will find two sets of drawers, a Dyson Heater/Cooler and a dehumidifier in the mirrored wardrobe too. The bathroom has a bath, electric shower, sink with vanity unit, LED mirror WC and heater. We provide; shampoo, toilet roll, body/hand wash, and towels. Bath and hand towels are provided for each person staying at the flat; up to two nights - one of each per person, three nights or more - two of each per person. On request, the apartment can have a travel cot and high chair. The flat is alarmed via 'Ring' - let us know what you want your personal alarm code to be before you check in. Our two bedroom flat is nearby amenities and main roads into Paisley - So walking into Paisley's town centre takes around 15/20 minutes and getting places, like Glasgow, isn't too much trouble via public/private transport. If driving, the flat is conveniently close to the M8 which is the motorway that links the Western and Eastern central belt of Scotland. There is a play park for children at the close entrance, and there are two parks to explore within walking distance. You will be asked to send a copy of photographic identification for each guest staying at our place via Airbnb's messaging platform, or otherwise. You can enter the flat via the main door in communal close. I am here to assist with local information, advice and help with your stay in general. These flats were purpose built circa 2004 on the grounds of a former car show room/petrol station. The flats are all privately owned, with a lot of them rented out. I noticed there seemed to be a lot of 'buy to let' landlords investing in the area and felt an Airbnb would fit in here without causing too much trouble. Two of the flats in the building are owner occupiers and the other five are let out privately (and then there is this one). The building is factored, so the close has a weekly clean and the grounds are maintained to a schedule. The flat is very handy as you are right next to a main road into Paisley and there is also a bus stop at the top of the street with buses that take you into Paisley (in five minutes) and Glasgow (in about forty minutes). The flat is located in Paisley's West End which borders the town's main shopping streets. We ask you to respect that the neighbours will be living their normal, everyday lives (working etc) and will not appreciate any disturbances. The town's University, the University of the West of Scotland, is less than a mile along the road from the flat. Glasgow airport is actually situated in Paisley and is a ten minute drive away - you could walk but in my opinion the pavements to walk there aren't the best for suitcases. The flat is only a short ten minute walk from Paisley's shopping district and main tourist attractions (Sma Shot Cottages, Paisley Town Hall, Paisley Abbey). The city of Glasgow is easily accessed via the regular bus and train services. Train stations are about twenty minutes walk away. The town's cycle track is also across the road and cyclists can cycle, traffic free, East towards Glasgow, or West towards Ayr. Braehead Shopping Centre and Silverburn Shopping Centre are within fifteen minutes driving distance and are popular with locals. Both Phoenix Retail Park and Abbotsinch Retail park are within five minutes drive. The flat is located a ten-fifteen minute walk from the Royal Alexandra Hospital and a fifteen-twenty minute drive to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Paisley is often named as the largest town in Scotland, in the historic county of Renfrewshire. Paisley is the fifth-largest settlement in Scotland. Paisley has a higher proportion of listed buildings than anywhere else in Scotland except Edinburgh – there are 122 in the town centre alone. There is one dedicated parking space belonging to the flat that can be used at no cat. On street parking is available for other cars - generally the on street parking is free but be careful not to park in a pay and display bay (the flat is close to the town centre). Bus stops are at the top of West Street on Broomlands Street, and train stations to Glasgow are within walking distance (fifteen/twenty minutes). Bedding is provided based on the number of people the flat is booked for. For larger parties, or unusual sleeping arrangements, please put in your message which beds you require to use. Bath and hand towels are provided for each person staying at the flat; up to two night (Website hidden by Airbnb) - one of each per person, three nights or more - two of each per person. You will be expected to wash towels and bedding then reuse them for long stays. At the end of your stay, we ask you to strip the beds and leave the bedding and towels on the beds. For long stays, the flat will be inspected roughly every fourteen to twenty eight days - we carry out any minor maintenance issues at these visits. We will give you notice of these visits and try to make it as convenient for you as possible. We have a dehumidifier on top of a kitchen cupboard, and in the larger bedroom on top of the wardrobe. You can turn these on/off when you feel suitable. We expect you to leave the flat, more or less, as you found it. The following statements will probably seem obvious to most of you but ... At the end of your stay our cleaner carries out a basic service that includes dusting, hoovering, mopping, washing used towels and bed linen, and hygiene cleaning in the toilet and kitchen. The cleaner does NOT pick up your rubbish, dispose of your belongings, wash or put away any of your used dishes or utensils, or remove stains from furnishings - this would be billed separately, at a minimum charge of £250 if required. We expect you to arrive when you say you will and to check out on time. Unless otherwise agreed, not checking out on time - 11am - will result in us involving Airbnb and implementing an additional charge to your booking. This flat is NOT for parties. You should only ever have the number of guests you have booked for in the apartment. We do not accept bookings for guests who bring pets/service animals with them. The people who reside in the building are will appreciate friendly visitors to the flat who show mutual respect. It is deemed deeply inappropriate to disturb the residents of the building who are going about their normal, everyday lives i.e. work etc. Guests will have their stay ended early if any disturbances are reported.
