The Place is a traditional Himachali house made of deodar wood, stone & mud surrounded by almost an acre of farm land and activity area. One has to hike 1 km to reach the house from parking area. We live with 3 gaddi dogs Bhairon, Badal & Bijli. We try to grow or source locally most of our food ingredients.The house is cosy both in winters and summers. It has a 360-degree view of the greater Himalayas. But it is not a place to expect luxury or a hotel like service. Airtel & Jio 4G available The property is located in the top of the village. It is the last house bordering a huge pine wood forest. Our house base is more than 100 years old. This area in the earlier times used to serve as the house of the local king due to the spectacular views, rich soil and commanding position. We live with a village community. These are indigenous people of the area having their own unique culture. We live as villagers living almost the same lifestyle as them. So, visitors will get the taste of life of an authentic, raw mountain village and its people. Hence we appreciate silence after 9 pm. Our life is organised around our activities and food is cooked around fixed times. But you are welcome to make your own tea, coffee or some snacks in the kitchen at any time. Having said that, if you are a foodie then we would like to suggest you to try some north eastern food from our chief. We cook mostly everything whatever available here. Also, the area around here is very uneven being on a top of a mountain. So, it is one is always either walking up or down at an altitude of more than (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) meters. Keep this in mind while visiting this place. . So expect a raw mountain life with serenity , peace and amazing views, good food, sharing and practicing interesting skills and disciplines. Experience the ancient tribal life in the twenty first century. We have renovated the whole place from scratch with lots of passion and love. We have one bedroom with double occupancy and one bedroom with single occupancy. And a share bathroom. We would like to invite you to come, stay with us and experience the raw vibe of this place like us. We love and practice visual arts, enjoy good music from different genres and appreciate art and artists in general. There are books to be read and movies and documentaries to be watched. Note* This Place is not your usual cottage or hotel like stuff. Living up here is really challenging yet really enjoyable and peace of mind. Hence please come here with an open mind and and willing to take whatever nature is offering us. Guests can access the whole property I am an Airbnb employee and a host. I will make sure your expectation meets the airbnb guidelines during your stay with me. My place has 360 degree views of Greater himalays like Pir panjal range and Rohtang. Jalori pass totally visible from our bedroom. To reach our place you need to hike about 1km uphill. There are so many thing to see and experience Hence it's not justify if you visit for less than 2 nights. Also make sure you reach the village before dark. Else during dark it's not advisable to walk into the hilly terrain. We would love to share some amazing story about the place, culture and some beautiful moment over dinner. We would also take you to the nearby hiking trails or a walk into the village. Our place is stand alone house where there are no other houses or people nearby. There are hiking trails which starts right next to the house. There are plenty of opportunities just to bathe in pristine nature. One can also explore nearby villages from here. Or a small day trip to Jalori Pass and Serolsar Lake, Or A day trip to Tirthan river. We practice and like to share disciplines such as Yoga, Meditation etc. It is not only about having an hour of asana practice or sitting silently cross legged. We like to bring in aspects of so-called mysticism into daily practical life without much dogma or orthodoxy. As we regard it as a deeply personal experience rather than a social experiment or something to preach about. By car- Coming from Delhi or Chandigragh towards Manali, take the right just before AUT tunnel towards Banjar and then straight 7 km to Jibhi, From Jibhi towards Tandi 10km. By Bus- Take a Manali route bus to AUT Market( Put the destination AUT. Red Bus/hrtc bus recommended) get down at Aut market. From AUT market either you take a direct taxi to tandi (INR (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) or a bus to Banjar and then a taxi to Tandi( INR (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) *If its snowed here in 2/3 days before your check in or check out the main road from Village to Jibhi might be close. In this case you need to hire a 4X4 to come up or go down. Hence one need to reach jibhi before 3PM to get a ride till village. 1. one km hike to reach property from parking. 2. no loud music or shouting after 8pm 3. no eating inside bedroom 4. No smoking inside the bedroom. 5. no shoes or chappal inside the bedroom 6. Vodafone network doesn't work here at all. 7. Please avoid carrying suitcase. Carrying suitcase up here is challenging. Rs 300 will be chargeable for carrying any sort of suitcase, trolly bags. 8. Check in is strict and allowed until 5pm only. 9. If you are using the kitchen, make sure you leave it clean and wash all your utensils. Note- Our winter is very harsh yet beautiful. The water gets frozen every night, so there might not be water in the bathroom in the early morning. In this case you have to use the water manually. Also the electricity voltage comes very low. lf it's snowing or raining there might long power cut. we do have a power backup and it usually give us a backup of 9 hrs but during winter it is able to provide max of 5hrs only. Hence there might not be hot water in the Geyser. For food you need to inform us in advance. Once you ordered the food can't be cancelled. We are strictly against food waste, specially up here at the top of the mountain, where one had to sweat to carrying it up. So please respect that and whatever you wish to have let us know in advance we would love to cook it for you. We are totally depending on natural water source. Hence while using the water we always are extra careful towards it. We expect everyone follow the same. There is no plastic recycling management up here yet. Hence we are extra careful towards using unnecessary plastic. We will be more than happy if you follow the same. We have fixed meal timings: We expect everyone to follow the meal timings. Our kitchen doesn't run 24*7, since it's a home not a restaurant.
