Martindale Bunkhouse

This 900 sqr ft cabin like addition with full kitchen, large living rm, large bedrm and full porch, shared pool, is located just one block off the San Marcos River in the quiet historic district of downtown Martindale, TX. It is located 6 miles east of San Marcos and situated halfway between San Antonio and Austin and approximately 30 minutes from Circuit of Americas. This is a very open 900 sqr ft Handicap accessible one bedroom apartment with queen size bed, one bath, large living room & full kitchen. 2nd bedroom is a futon in living room and the space is furnished to comfortably accommodate 4 people. We are dog friendly to those that are completely house and pet cage broken. We request that pets not be allowed on the furniture and remind folks to bring pet bedding and their own pet cage. A small fenced area is available in the back thru the kitchen door, and we ask that guest bring their own doggie bags and clean up after their pets. Guest have full access to the kitchen and furnished front porch. A shared washer, dryer and BBQ pit available. Public access to the San Marcos River is just one block away for swimming and fishing, with canoe, kayak & tube rentals in the area. Host lives on site and will be there to greet you and answer any question to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We would prefer that guest give a completed profile of themselves with a bit of information about your visit and any other guest that may accompany you. Shuttles up river may be pre-arranged, with host, for those who bring their own equipment and give plenty of notification. Quite friendly neighborhood that is walking distance to historic downtown that has a nice restaurant with live music Friday and Saturday nights. Martindale hosts an open participant 4th of July parade for anyone that always wanted to be in a parade. It is one of the sites to watch the contestants of the "Texas Water Safari" portage the local dam on their way to the Texas gulf coast. It is one of the hardest endurance river races in the U.S. The area is great for fishing, kayaking, canoeing and tubing. A car is recommended as public transportation is non-existant. Trash and recycle bins are located on the property and we request that guest use them. Please inform us of any special medical needs prior to your visit that we may accommodate to the best of our ability.
