The house is in Etambe, 2 minutes off main route to Saumur/Thouars. The cottage is set in the courtyard of an ancient farm with views of the chateau. The house was built around 1950 under the ancient hanger. It has one room downstairs with open plan kitchen/living space. The bathroom is downstairs. The bedrooms are accessed via a staircase to first floor. The double bedroom is accessed by walking through the single bedroom. Please ensure that you check the location before you book. The cottage is situated in the main courtyard of the old farm. It is east facing and has sun til 1pm. The patio is north facing..great for shade mid day with late sun in summer. Guests use the main gate entrance. Their parking is in front of the house and beside the house under the hanger. The guests have a small garden area on the north side of the property which is open to the courtyard. I live in the dependence joined to the farmhouse. In case of any issues or questions, Im available. We are just off the main route North South from Saumur to Parthenay. Very convenient to get around. There is fishing in Taizon 5 km away and lakes at LA Ballastiere 6km. There is plenty of walking in the local woods and vineyard. The bicycle route is 5km. The boulangeries are 5-9km with shopping in Thouars and Montreuil Bellay. The farm is peaceful. The village is situated just north of Thouars. The train station on Brion is 2.5km and is on the Saumur to Bressuire line. Tuesday morning at 4am the rubbish men arrive.
