Villa Pioppi

A romantic winery, typical of the terraced vineyard of Mt Etna; built in 1793 from local lava stone. It is set at 750 meters a.s.l. with a spacious terrace overlooking the Ionian Sea, surrounded by cherry and olive trees. #pioppiebetulle It is set at 750 meters a.s.l. The accommodation is situated in a cultivated property with cherry and olive trees and rosemary and sage bushes , with a beautiful view of the Ionian Sea, equipped with a BBQ corner with a wood burning oven . We are at about 20 km from Taormina, Catania and the beach. The house can accomodate a maximum of 5 people with one double bed, a singol bed and a sofa bed. The guests have access to a terrace with a beautiful view, and a 13 meters x 5 meters swimming pool with a lovely lounge area. The swimming pool is shared with our guests of Villa Betulle nearby (listed on this site) and my family :). The pool open the first May and is closed 15 October. Usually i send the coordinates for our meeting point or another options to reach house are: to be met the Giarre Highway exit, on the way to the house we will drive by points of interest such as supermarkets, banks, etc. or to met at Montargano. The owners keep chickens and geese and guests are welcome to help themselves to fresh eggs. For any additional need we are close by. Possibility to participate to a wine tasting event. Reservation is necessary. Exploration of mount Etna caves and lava field, recent and past with four wheel drive vehicles. If you wish to use the air conditioning you need to pay 5 euro per day.
