Your neighbors are the University Library, the National Theatre and the Cathedral. However if you want to explore other parts of the city you can reach most of them by public transports. If you want to visit the Pohorje Mountain (skiing in winter, hiking & biking in summer) you can catch a bus 5 minutes away from the flat which will take you in 15 minutes to the cable car.
