The Boathouse Retreat @ Elvina Bay is a cosy, peaceful hideaway located on the water at Elvina Bay. Nestled on the edge of Ku-ring-gai National Park with views across Pittwater, I invite you to come and enjoy the peace only a location like the Boathouse Retreat @ Elvina Bay can offer. The boathouse is fully self-contained with a comfortable queen-size bed, a well-equipped kitchen, toilet and hot rainwater shower with bath towels provided. The Boathouse has heating for winter. PID-STRA-11678 The interior of the boathouse is cosy and relaxed with polished timber floors, woven mats and a small table and chairs. Enjoy uninterrupted views across the bay from the comfy queen size bed with fresh linen, doona and pillows. The large overwater timber deck has a table and chairs, two sun lounges , fire pit and an umbrella ensuring the perfect place to relax. The pontoon allows easy access for swimming and launching the two kayaks provided for guests use. There is a stainless-steel fold-down ladder to make it easy to get out of the water and a hot water outside shower to rinse off. A complimentary breakfast of muesli and freshly laid eggs from the local chickens is provided each day. The pantry is provisioned with salt, pepper, olive oil, tea, coffee pods, hot chocolate, rice, pasta, and paper towel. You will need to bring milk, bread and all other food and drinks. The kitchen has a gas cooktop, fridge/freezer and espresso coffee machine. All pots, pans and cooking utensils as well as crockery, cutlery and glassware are provided for guests to use. The boathouse is fitted with a portable toilet. A flushing toilet is also available under the main house just up the hill. Here at the bay, we rely on tank water meaning our water supply relies on the rainfall. The good news is this means you can shower under warm soft rainwater - however please no long showers as our water supply is limited. We do not provide beach towels for swimming from the jetty or rainproof jackets for inclement weather. PID-STRA-11678 The boathouse is water only access. You cannot drive as there is no road. Guests coming by car will find overnight parking available at several places including Church Point (fees apply), Taylors Point and Newport both have free parking. Options to get to the boathouse are: - Mick provides complimentary pickup and drop off if prearranged. - Ferry from Church Point or water taxi at your own expense. - Seaplane from Rosebay - Mick can collect you with prior notice of your arrival time. The option to bring your own boat and tie up at the jetty from 12- 40ft can also be arranged.Weather dependant as long the wind is not from the southerly direction Public transport bus is available and stops at Church Point wharf, please visit (Website hidden by Airbnb) Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation call and email and further information to ensure a smooth arrival. A 15-minute walk along the bush path leads to gorgeous swimming holes, ancient Indigenous carvings, and waterfalls with stunning views across Pittwater. Your host Mick is a true local with plenty of history and extensive knowledge of the area. Speak to him about his guided 1hr walk. The boathouse has two kayaks, including lifejackets, for guests to use. Explore everything Pittwater has to offer including secluded beaches and the hidden bays. The Ku-ring-gai National Park is abundant with wildlife including wallabies, possums, parrots, kookaburras, goannas and much more. Nearby activities include: sailing, swimming. Nearby are waterfront restaurants and cafes and surf beaches all a short boat ride away. Come and discover this and all the bay has to offer. Guests are only covered by Airbnb’s insurance whilst visiting the boathouse and all activities are at guests’ own risk. PID-STRA-11678
