Large family country house in the middle of nature

Beautiful family house in the countryside, ideal for a family stay combining calm and leisure. It is surrounded by 7,000 m2 of private land with a pond and an orchard and borders a national forest. It is near Mêle sur Sarthe city (5 km) and its shops, its supermarket (Intermarché) and its large nautical leisure park with supervised swimming, various activities and games. A riding centre, is 10 mns' walk from the house. Alençon is 22km away, the nearest landing beach, Ouistreham, is 115 km away. Spacious and cosy, this country house is ideal to accommodate young and old. On the ground floor, the entrance leads to a large living room and dining room of about 50 m2, looking onto a meadow on one side and opening onto a terrace and an orchard on the other side. A corridor provides access to a bathroom with bath, separate toilet, and a large bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, toaster, electric kettle, electric stove with oven, a mini oven, crockery and cooking utensils. There is a washing machine in the adjoining laundry room. A staircase leads to the mezzanine overlooking the living room. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and separate toilet. On the orchard side, the living room opens onto a terrace sheltered from the wind and equipped with a large table, garden chairs and a brick built barbecue. It is an ideal space for meals. Sheets, blankets, towels and tea towels are provided. Only a couple of places reserved for the owners' personal belongings are inaccessible. Your hosts are Marie and Martine, owners of the house. You will be welcomed on your arrival by a person whose contact details will be supplied before your arrival . You can discover the beautiful towns of Sees, Mortagne-au-Perche and Alençon, the forest of Perseigne and other nearby forests as well as enjoy the markets with local products. Montmirel riding centre is 10 mns' walk from the house. The largest city nearby is Alençon, 22km away, and the nearest Landing Beach, Ouistreham, is 115 km away. Other activities include a nautical leisure park (10mn's drive), Karting (10mn's drive), the Ecouves wildlife animal park in Bouillons (20mn's drive), and a play area for children in Vente des Bourses (5mn's drive) Marchemaisons is located near Le Mêle sur Sarthe, between Mortagne and Alençon, about 180 km from Paris, partly toll-free motorway, partly dual carriageway. It is 213km from Dieppe harbour. WARNING ! There is a large pond at the end of the meadow. Do not let children go near it unaccompanied.
