The River Room

Our peaceful 1-bedroom 1-bath has everything you need for your Machias trip. The unit comes with heating, AC, Blow dryer, Iron/Ironing board, and Wi-Fi. Along with this, each of our rooms have a microwave, mini fridge, and Keurig coffee maker with cups, coffee, sugar, etc.. During your stay, you can also enjoy using a your private bathroom & indoor fireplace. Our Airbnb is within driving distance to several popular restaurants, national parks, and beaches. An ideal base to explore Machias. Old giant wood floors, stunning views, and propane fireplace make this room so special and a perfect place to unwind Guests are more than welcome to use the fire pit in front of the inn as well as the grill. Chairs are placed conveniently across the property as to not miss a view from this spectacular spot. For a peaceful walk, you can take the easy access trail leading directly down to the popular Sunrise Trail! Check-in here is contactless, with convenient keyless door handles to every room. On the day of arrival, we will send a text letting you know when your room is ready with all of the check-in information needed. We encourage guests to reach out to us if you have any questions over the historic farm house or the beautiful Down-east Area! We are more than happy to give recommendations for touring and dining. Sitting along the Machias River and popular Sunrise Trail, we are within walking distance to dining such as Dunkin’ Donuts, Pats Pizza, Helen’s Restaurant, Subway, The River’s Edge Takeout, and The Bluebird Restaurant. While seconds from town/the main road, our large, quiet property makes you feel miles away! Machias is a great starting point to your Downeast adventures. Use the Sunrise trail on your bike or ATV, visit the local Falls and park. Shop locally in gift shops, antique shops, and restaurants with tasty treats. If you’re up for a drive, take a trip to Lubec and visit Quoddy Head or Cutler to the Bold Coast Trails! Access the Sunrise Trail just feet from our Inn which you may also use to walk to multiple different dining options here in town. Maybe just for a peaceful walk or an ATV ride! Watch the tides come and go.
