Ideally located spacious sunny Edwardian double
The Manse is a two-storey Edwardian house with traditional layout/décor with cosy open fires and panoramic views of surrounding countryside. Our guests have sole use of the top floor and are welcome to join us downstairs for a chat/drink. A continental breakfast is included, served in our dining room. There's ample roadside parking in our quiet street and secure cycle store. It's a 10 min. stroll to shops, pubs/restaurants, station, Rock Park and Lake. Handy for the Elan Valley/outdoor pursuits. We offer a relaxed, friendly space and enjoy sharing local knowledge of the area. Llandrindod is a friendly, relaxing town surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering a choice of eateries and independent shops with many historic buildings. It is an ideaI base to explore Wales on foot/bike/motorcycle/car or for a stopover on longer journeys. It hosts several festivals and has panoramic local walks. Llandrindod is on the picturesque Heart of Wales railway line. Come and go as you please - breakfast is served in the dining room at a time to suit you; (the kitchen is private) you are welcome to join us for a chat/cup of tea or enjoy sitting in our wildlife garden across the road. We are happy to help with information, suggestions for visits/places to eat and enjoy spending time with our guests. We also volunteer for the tourist information board which can be handy! Llandrindod Wells is a peaceful, friendly place with a choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Each year it hosts the famous Victorian Week, motocross rally, cycle fest and other fairs/markets. It is a short walk to town through the Rock Park and the lake is a pleasant area to explore. The popular golf club is nearby. In town there is a range of local shops, museum, bowling club and stunning architecture to explore. Llandrindod is on the main A483 and near the A470 for easy access to neighbouring towns such as Builth Wells, Rhayader and further afield to Aberystwyth, Ludlow, Hereford and Welshpool. Hay on Wye is also a short journey away. It is on the Heart of Wales railway line which offers a scenic day out, running between Shrewsbury and Swansea. Please note that when planning a journey or short trip travelling time can be affected by local traffic (e.g. tractors) and winding roads.
