Osprey Cottage in Manton is a beautifully presented end terrace property which sleeps 4 guests. One bedroom with a king size bed, a second bedroom that can be configured either as twin beds (2’6” wide) or a double, and a stylish bathroom. Finished in a contemporary style with modern facilities including Wi-Fi, TV, a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. There is a garden with a shed and we welcome well-behaved dogs(£20 charge applies). Bedding and towels are included. The front door opens from the pavement into an open plan living area and the following rooms are on the ground floor: Kitchen/dining room/living room: this elegantly furnished living space contains a wall-mounted TV, an electric oven with grill function, four-ring electric hob, fridge and mini freezer, dishwasher, microwave, cafetière, kettle and toaster. There is also a round dining table which seats four, a sofa and 2 armchairs. Utility room: is a handy space for storing muddy boots and coats. Accessible from both the kitchen and back door, this area contains, a washing machine, a boot rack, coat hooks and separate sink. Stairs lead up from the kitchen area to the first floor, please note these were built in 1900 and obviously people were much shorter then - so please mind your head. Master bedroom: this tastefully decorated south facing bedroom contains a king size bed, wardrobe, dressing table and 2 bedside tables with drawers and wall mirror. Second bedroom: contains two small single beds (2’6” wide), which can be configured into a double bed and there is open hanging storage. All pillows and quilts are anti allergenic and beds will be made up fpr arrival using white Egyptian cotton bedding. Family bathroom: This bright bathroom contains a walk-in shower with Mira Air boost shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail. Bath sheets and hand towels are provided - 1 of each per person. Outside space: includes a sunny, sheltered, secure garden at the back of the property with a patio and table and chairs for you to enjoy a drink or meal outside. There is a lockable shed available for the storage of bikes, fishing gear etc. and an outside tap. No BBQ's allowed. Situated in the heart of the peaceful and picturesque village of Manton, The Cottage is surrounded by the stunning countryside of Rutland, situated on the south shore of Rutland Water on the cycle route. There are numerous walking trails, the village public house, just a 2-minute walk away and a garden centre/café about a 10-minute walk away. Rutland is known for its historic market towns of Oakham and Uppingham along with many outdoor activities in and around Rutland water including bird watching and water sports. Osprey Cottage is perfect for a romantic break, a family holiday or for a small group of friends who are seeking an idyllic getaway. Car parking is on street parking with no restrictions Please note that the owners of the adjoining terrace houses have a right of access along the rear of the house and the imediate neighbour has a lovely golden retriever. Special Events like Burghley Horse Trials and the Birdfair require bookings typically limited to minimum 4 nights from a specific start day.
