The Manor House is classified as a 'British Ancient Monument' and is in a recognised 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Documented in the Domesday Book of 1086 this is probably the oldest home in England, we know who lived here in 1262! We have eight ensuite bedrooms, individually styled, each spacious and comfortable with kingsize or four poster beds, flatscreen TVs and a number of them have a fridge. We offer free private parking for 10 cars, two reception rooms both with log fires, including a Tudor inglenook fireplace from 1539, gardens and a Victorian conservatory where you can all dine together in summer by candlelight. The suite on the second floor can accommodate five people: king sized four poster, double and single bed with 2 bathrooms, one wet room shower and one bath, and 2 TVs which suits families or a group of friends. The other suite of interconnecting bedrooms is on the ground floor and has access through French windows onto the garden. The first room which can be accessed from either the drawing or the dining room has a double bed, ancient flagstone floor and a small window, the other has a king-sized bed, three Windows, modern stone floor and the glazed doors to the garden under the rose arch. These two rooms share a small wet room bathroom, with shower, WC and basin. These two rooms are medieval and rustic so not for use by those who like modern sophistication in a bedroom. The other four rooms are for couples, three have king-sized beds, one a four poster. The double bed has a Balinese canopy and is in a wonderfully light and spacious room. .
