A totally private, newly renovated kiwi style cottage on our lifestyle block in the lower Kauaeranga Valley. The cottage has one bedroom with a queen bed, an open plan living area with a very comfortable new sofa bed. Wifi is provided. Wake up to a Nepresso Coffee. Dry secure shed for your bicycles. Shower is mains pressure. Freeview and DVD TV Rural setting with your nearest neighbour being your hosts 70 meters away. Stunning views of the Coromandel foothills and ranges from the awesome covered verandah. Cottage looks out over pasture and native wetlands. So you can always see some wildlife...and hear the moreporks at night. You have entire cottage to yourself including the immediate garden area up the olive trees and parking spaces. The cottage is situated 70 meters away from the main house so guests can have as much privacy as they want. Hosts will be on site and we give you a cell phone number to text if you need anything. The Stolen Oak is on the Coromandel Gateway of Thames and in the lower Kauaeranga Valley. It is just 1.2km to access the Hauraki Rail Trail and less than 20km to the DOC Visitor Centre where you can access the Pinnacles walk and many other tracks and activities. Swim in the beautiful Kauaeranga river at our local swimming hole (600m walk) Coromandel town is 1 hours drive and east coast beaches just 40 minutes. The historic town of Thames has many good cafes, restaurants and things to do. Also an array of shops and amenities. Thames Township is an easy flat walk of about 40 minutes (4 kms). Taxis are available and will come to your door. Intercity Bus Service is available from the center of Thames.
