They will be contactable in the unlikely event that there are any issues. Island beach is the ideal place to set up "camp" for your Island adventure. Located 15kms out of Penneshaw and 40kms from Kingscote it is superbly located just off the beaten track, but easily accessible with minimal requirement to travel along dirt roads. The beach itself is perfect for young families. On a sunny day you can see no less than 5 different kinds of blues, with waves barely exceed a ripple and little to no current making it perfect conditions for swimming. For those keen on a bit more action in the water, De Coudie Beach House is a short 10 minute drive to Pennington Bay, a popular surf beach on the island. The bay itself is frequently visited by dolphins, fish, whales and many sea birds, whilst kangaroos, goannas and cockatoos are a common sight along the beach and on the property, delighting keen nature "buffs" and the young ones. It is best to hire a car from either Adelaide or on the Island at Kingscote Airport to make getting around to the various natural attractions easy.
