Beautiful Victorian cottage, full of charm. Ideal for a family/couple. Old Cornish pub, great food, stunning Quay, kids park opposite, Surfers Cafe, cycling trail, many walking tracks within the quaint, historic village. Devoran is an ideal central location to explore Cornwall & it's huge amount of stunning beaches. Trelissick House & Gardens, Trebah, Eden Project. Well cleaned cottage. Freshly laundered linen. Well behaved dogs welcome with prior agreement, no dogs in the main season. The cottage was built in 1850's and has plenty of the original charm. It sleeps 4 with a very comfortable double bed and 2 singles in the second bedroom, one raised up in a cosy nook. Kids love it. A good sized family bathroom with bath and shower. The cottage is well equipped with everything you might need and a lovely place to come back to after a day out exploring the delights of Cornwall. The decking area outside is great for morning coffee, meals outside or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening. Centrally located between Truro and Falmouth. There is great old pub just 2 mins walk serving tasty food and a park opposite with a stunning view for children to play. Bike storage. The whole village is in a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty with many grade 2 listed buildings. The cottage is right in the heart of the village with the Old School opposite and the church to one side. The walks, cycle trail and views from the village are beautiful with beaches found in every direction by car, or bike, child friendly or rugged and dramatic. Plenty of little Cornish fishing villages to explore or restaurants to sample the local produce. There is so much to see and do round here you'll be spoilt for choice. Guests will have the whole cottage to themselves, with an open plan kitchen and dining room for easy access. The kitchen is well equipped. There's superfast wifi, tv with dvd facilities, a woodburner for chilly evenings. There is also a garden with decking area, partly grassed with a washing line. There is a shared path and yard with the cottage next door. I would normally pop in to welcome you but due to the current situation there is self check in and contact if you should need help. I respect your privacy the rest of the time. After a long journey, I feel guests like to arrive and explore the cottage on their own. I am closeby if needed though. I can help with suggestions for great places to visit. The village is very relaxed and peaceful. Safe for children and restful for all. It's a very friendly village. I feel a real home from home experience. The area is ideal for dog walking. There is a Devoran village doctors surgery, church, a great pub and a good village shop in the next village. The tidal quay is only 5 mins away and deffinately worth seeing. Loe beach is 5 mins away by car and is great for sailing lessons or hiring kayaks. Mylor Bridge is another good place for kayak hire. You can hire bikes too from the pub and cycle the 11 mile coast to coast old tram track or walk the gorgeous coastal footpaths. There is a pretty good bus system from the village to Truro and Falmouth. A small branch line train station of Perranwell going to Truro and Falmouth, just a 15 minute walk away and a very good cycle trail going from coast to coast (Bissoe trail). Newquay airport is 45 minutes away by car and Plymouth ferry about 1.5hrs. Car hire is available at the train station of Truro. Attention Dog Owners The garden is completely fenced so it is safe for dogs. There is a shared path and yard, but separate garden area. Dogs must be supervised and kept on leads in the back garden, particularly if they are nervous/ aggressive around people or children. All mess should be cleared up immediately. If it's particularly dry a watering can is available to dilute dog pee as it kills the grass. Dogs aren't allowed on furniture or upstairs. Dogs can't be left unsupervised in the house unless caged. There is an extra cleaning fee of £45 cash on arrival for dogs.
