Domínio Vale Flores is a small oasis where country living is 'the way of life'. Sharing time and moments in a pleasant atmosphere where your senses indulge the Portuguese and natural way of life. Each season has a its own characteristic and offers a surprising stay. A relaxing place and a great starting point to discover Portuguese cities and villages, local markets and the Atlantic Coast. Comfortable, you sleep in a finely decorated renovated barn with a cosy atmosphere. It is provided with a characteristic wooden stove, lovely during the cooler months in winter. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and washbasin. The livingroom comes with a supporting kitchen which includes two hotplates, a small refrigerator and table- and kitchenware is supplied as well. Your bed will be made up with the comfortable sheets and blankets from Atelier Vale Flores. Bathrobes, a hairdryer and towels are provided to comfort your stay and gives you the opportunity to 'travel light'. The Owl house is the perfect stay for couples or small families (max. 3 p.) For some adventure for our younger guests and some more privacy for mom and dad, we can put up a professional adventurer tent in the garden(max. 2 p). Additional costs € 20 per night. We have a swimmingpool near the mainhouse. A soccertable, trampoline and table tennis are there to start a competition. As we are working/building on our all season lounge 'O Dominio' (see below)we meanwhile offer a 'field-livingroom' where you can take a seat, enjoy your breakfast and several nights a week dinner is served (additional charge). An honesty bar is available as well and magazines to read and a sofa to relax. • O Domínio • Expected opening March 2018 Our lounge 'O Domínio' offers fresh juices, coffee&tea, healthy lunches and snacks and some background music. It is a place to crash and relax. During summer in the sun on the terrace where you hear the water running in the natural stream, the cooler months are comfortable around the wooden stove. There is always a good read, a selection of international magazines is provided, books as well, add some music and just relax or socialize. Feel at home! Starting from October!! Dominio Vale Flores is runned by Daniel and Diederieke. We live on the estate with our three boys in the main house. We have a Dutch-South African background. Tourism and hospitality has always been part of our life. We enjoy to host our guests and let them experience the Portuguese way of life with an international touch. Dominio Vale Flores is located in Portugal's country site. Beautiful walks (we are located along the route to Fatima and Santiago de Compostela) through vineyards, ancient old olive trees and farmland are a joy. Exploring those routes with one of the mountainbikes is possible as well. Nearby cities are worthwhile to visit. The gothic city of Santarem (15 minutes), Caldas da Rainha (30 minutes) Tomar (40 minutes, Golega (30 minutes) and many little villages are great to stroll around. The weekly markets the cities offer are colourful and full of energy. The beautiful Atlantic Coast is a 45 minutes ride. Because of our location in Portugal's country side a (rental) car is needed. Also to explore the beautiful villages and cities in this part of Portugal. Ofcourse a transfer from Santarem's Train station (15 minutes) or Lisbon's International Airport (45 minutes) can be arranged. We developed Dominio Vale Flores with great care. We care for nature. Eventhough we can't operate 100% ecological, we are fully aware of the environment. Please be part of this awareness as well. With the utmost care and attention we have developed Dominio Vale Flores.
