If you are staying for a concert at Hanging Rock we can guide you to the concert on our bush track that links you to an entry gate on the concert site. Peaceful setting on hilltop with views to Hanging Rock and Cobaw Ranges. Close to all amenities including the local licenced Newham General Store, a 3 min. drive or 15 minute walk for coffee and food. There are many bush walks such as Hanging Rock, The Camel's Hump, The Sanitorium walk and Black Hill reserve. Nearby Wineries such as Curly Flat, Braewattie, Hanging Rock and the further afield Heathcote region offer cellar door tastings and are beautiful properties to visit in themselves. Kyneton offers the fantastic Piper Street for vintage and gallery shopping, only a 15 minute drive away. The nearby towns of Trentham and Daylesford are a 30-40 minute drive. Woodend, Kyneton, Lancefield and Romsey all have excellent Farmer's Markets. They are held on Saturdays. Dates can be looked up online to coincide with your stay. CAR: We are an easy 1 hour drive up the Calder Freeway from central Melbourne Suburbs. TRAIN: Our property is an hour train ride from Southern Cross Station, Melbourne (on the Bendigo line). We are a 10 minute car ride from Woodend Station. If coming from Bendigo, we are an hours train ride from Bendigo Station. BIKE: You can ride from Woodend Station to our farm which would take approx. 45 min- 1 hour. FROM MELB. AIRPORT TULLAMARINE: We are 40 minutes drive from Melbourne Airport. Access is via Sunbury and The Kerrie Valley. Our accommodation and garden areas are unique and an experience to enjoy so do come and stay at The Barn House.
