Cozy cottage in the heart of Port Sydney

Note: Our quoted prices include all taxes and fees. Just a few minutes from Hwy 11 and very close to snowmobile trails, this cute and cozy 1950 cottage-style four season home is on a private, treed lot 1 km from Mary Lake, the Port Sydney Beach, a public boat launch and just a few steps further to the popular General Store, Mary's Grill and the Wild Heart. The back deck has a propane BBQ & patio table and chairs. This secluded 1060 sq ft home is on a half acre lot with a beautiful, private backyard. There is a firepit (we'll supply firewood for your first campfire. Note: dependent on area fire restrictions at time of booking); outdoor dining set (spring, summer and fall only); small BBQ with propane supplied. There is one master bedroom (new Endy mattress) and two small rooms each with a cozy single bed with new mattresses (Sealy). The livingroom is large with a gas fireplace, big comfy couches, a comfy chair and a 50 inch smart TV. Our internet is blazing fast and unlimited and we have a separate room with a desk for a laptop. The kitchen is well equipped and we supply tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, and cooking oil. We also supply dishwasher detergent and dish soap. We are on well water here and it is safe to drink. There is a laundry room onsite with a washer and a dryer and a clothesline outside. Parking is right in front of the house and there are no stairs to get in. The garage is not available to guests. There is a door lock on the front door that will require a code. We will provide the code on or before your arrival date. We live down the street from the cottage and will give you your privacy but will respond quickly to anything you need. We are just off the snowmobile trails and it's a lovely, 1 km walk to the Port Sydney beach which, in the winter, sports a family-friendly skating rink with skating hut. 1.5 kms away: The popular Jamieson General Store with an amazing ice cream and candy collection, Port Sydney gifts, pizza, snacks and groceries. Mary's Lakeside Grill is right across from the Jamieson General Store with simple but tasty fare - hot dogs, hamburgers, crispy onion rings, french fries, sandwiches and chicken wings...there is something for everyone here. Across the street from Mary's the Wild Heart offers unique treasures, pottery, furniture, kitchenware, pictures, jewelry & more! At South Mary Lake Road & Highway 11 there is a Freshmart grocery store with an LCBO outlet, Dean's Home Hardware, The Green Bouquet Cannabis, Muskoka Thrift Shop and Smith's Convenience Store. Please no smoking or vaping inside the house. For the comfort of our guests and our cleaning staff with allergies we cannot allow pets. All towels and linens (including duvet covers/comforters) are washed between guests. We use unscented detergent and fabric softener. We clean and sanitize not only with cleaning products but also with steam cleaning. We are child-friendly but not childproof. The gas stove is not gated and children and adults both need to be careful around it. The baseboard heaters can get hot at times. We recommend that those with children show them to be cautious around them. We have bed toppers for those that like a soft, sink deep into bed. Please request them before check-in.
