Breeze Inn Apartment behind our house on the shore

A self contained apartment for 2 to 3 people on Annalong shore below the Mourne Mountains. A great location for walkers, bird watchers and anyone wishing to relax and enjoy being by the sea. The village and amenities (shops, pubs and eateries) are a few minutes walk. Newcastle, with its various restaurants, bars, beaches and other attractions is only 6 miles away. There is a wonderful view of the Irish Sea from the living room and of the coast and The Mournes from the bed room. Recently built, the apartment is located above our garage with a private entrance to the rear of the garage. There is a downstairs cloakroom and washer/dryer in the hallway and a private stairway to the upstairs living quarters. The guest accommodation comprises an open plan living room and fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. The living room has a full size dining table and the sofa converts to a double bed. There is also a shower room and good sized bedroom with double bed and three fitted wardrobes. An ironing board and iron are available. A single folding bed is also available if required. The living room looks out over the Irish Sea and the bedroom has a view of the Mourne mountains and the shore. The apartment is completely private and guests also have access to the south facing garden at the side of the house. Wifi is available, the signal is usually good. Access to the apartment is via a separate entrance to the rear of the garage. There is ample parking space in the courtyard between the garage and the main house. Guests have their own keys and may come and go as they wish. Our guests are invited to make the apartment their home from home and enjoy the freedom of having their own space. We are happy to provide information about our local area and places further afield if required. If any assistance is needed we are either at home or contactable via mobile phone. Annalong is an old fishing village on the Mourne Coastal Route. It is 6 miles from Newcastle to the north and 6 miles from Kilkeel to the south, both of which have a variety of shops and restaurants. The village itself has a number of eateries and a couple of small shops for essentials. Great opportunities for walking, fishing, watersports and golf. Seals are regular visitors to the shore, as are cormorants, herons and a variety of other sea birds. Walking in The Mournes is easily accessible, the nearest peaks being Binnian, Lamagan, Seafin and Donard. Annalong is on a regular bus route between Kilkeel and Newcastle with connections to Belfast and Newry. Driving time from Dublin airport is approximately an hour and a half; from Belfast City airport approximately an hour and from Belfast International approximately an hour and a half. Bedding, towels and basic toiletries will be provided, as will essential provisions for your arrival (tea, coffee, sugar and breakfast cereal). This is a self catering apartment, but the kitchen has a selection of utensils, pots and pans if guests wish to do their own cooking.
