Million Dollar Inn, Queen Suite #302, Upstairs
Exquisite Luxury. Queen canopy bed with full kitchenette with complimentary coffee and tea selection. Large flat screen tv and high speed wifi featuring a gorgeous view overlooking downtown Pawhuska. Your suite contains a private bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. The center part of the house downstairs (The Commons) is the house's living room, dining room, bar area, and a glassed-in sunporch across the back of the house overlooking the city, clear back across Hwy 99. Enjoy the oversized furniture, the huge TV, work on your laptop, or just bring your coffee down to the sunporch and enjoy the best view of sunrise in town! Guests often visit with each other in The Commons, sharing "must see" attractions, reviewing the food in great local restaurants, & identifying "the best" local shopping. I'll greet you at the front door to teach you the security requirements, walk you through the Common Rooms, brag on the highlights of our community, and provide you with information & brochures about things to see and do. While I'm headed up or down stairs with laundry, I stop to breathe and love to chat with any guests sitting in the Commons. Once you are in your private suite, you are given complete privacy. You call me, if needs arise. The Million Dollar Inn is located on the ridge of Grandview Ave, which is one street west of Ki-Heh-Kah (main N/S street through downtown), giving it the best view in Pawhuska. My Inn is across the road from the Osage Nation Campus, directly across from the Osage Nation Museum and the Osage War Veterans' Memorial. You can visit the museum, tour the campus buildings, enjoy the outdoor sculptures, and honor the engraved names on the Memorial. The parklike setting invites guests to walk across the campus, bring a picnic basket for lunch in one of three arbors on the path to the waterfalls and waiving flags. If you're really quiet, you can sit out on the deck or in my lawn chairs and watch me feed the deer in the evening. The wildlife is all over the hill and just comes alive around 5 when all the Osage Nation employees leave their offices. Very quiet in evenings and on weekends. Lots of privacy due to "no walk-up" rental policy and security instruction to guests at check-in. Relax! There's really no need for public transit "up here on the Rez", but there is a 6-seater horse drawn carriage downtown on most weekends if you are determined to "rideshare"! You can always park right in front of my Inn. Many guests chose to take the city stairs to downtown for the eats, sights and shops. There's plenty of public parking as you drive about to local attractions. Our only stoplight in town doesn't even get enough traffic to regulate, it just blinks all 4 ways. We're a small town, so slow down, relax and enjoy it! No young children or pets are allowed without advanced arrangements for approval. This suite is often booked for honeymoon or special occasion celebrations! It has full sized fridge, convection oven, microwave, bagel toaster, & old-fashioned milkshake blender. All china, silver & cooking utensils are provided. Complimentary coffee and tea provided for your morning beverage while enjoying the sunrise view from windows another story higher than the gorgeous sunporch below. Everyone loves this exquisite suite. You wont be disappointed!
