Perched on an imposing chalky boulder of ancient origins, Peglio is a small village of medieval origins that is mainly characterized by the spectacular 360 ° views that can be admired from the top of the hill on which the town stands. The town is placed in a dominant position (534 meters above sea level) with respect to the underlying Metauro valley, as if you were on a natural balcony with the possibility of extending your gaze on the green hills characterizing the valley, up to the imposing silhouettes of the main mountains of the Pesaro Apennine chain. Inside the village, walking through narrow and inaccessible alleys that reveal panoramic views everywhere, the parish church, built in Baroque style and dedicated to San Fortunato, is also worthy of a visit, inside which the presence of a “Via Crucis”, made of ceramic, coming from nearby Casteldurante (today Urbania) and two very interesting crypts dating back to the Lombard period.
