The open plan kitchen has a gas stove, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The laundry is fully equipped with a washing machine and generous outdoor line. The home has Baltic pine flooring throughout with pretty scatter rugs located in all rooms. Open fire and ducted heating throughout for quick warmth and fans are located in bedrooms, living and dining rooms to keep the home warm and cosy in winter and cool in summer. During the winter months a basket of firewood is provided to keep the fire going during your stay. If you’re just up for relaxing, there are plenty of books, magazines and board games available at your fingertips. "Pretty on Palmer" frontage is surrounded by a beautiful cottage garden with the back garden boasting a productive food forest. Forage the orchard and vegetable garden for anything that is ripe, guests are most welcome to use whatever they can find; feel free to weed and water! The garden includes a lovely shaded patio area with festoon string lighting where you can enjoy a family bbq as well as a gorgeous garden setting to enjoy a coffee & a good book. Guests have access to the whole house with the exception of a storage cupboard only. Access is through the backdoor where a lockbox is located. Portland is a coastal town approximately halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide and a major hub along the Great South Coast. It is ideally situated central to the Great Ocean Road and the Limestone Coast, with day trips to the Coonawarra wine region and the Grampians National Park. Portland township is traditionally known for the operational deep sea port and cable tram, however in recent years regular visits from southern right whales, an increase in commercial and leisure fishing and access to tucked away natural wonders via the Great South West Walk has seen an increase in tourism. Just 19km from Portland you’ll find Cape Bridgewater, voted one of Victoria’s best beaches. Other highlights include, the impressive Glenelg River and mouth along Discovery Bay, Victoria’s kelpie capital Casterton and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Budj Bim. This traditional landscape is located on the traditional Country of the Gunditjmara people, exhibiting the world’s oldest and most extensive aquaculture systems. Works will begin in December 2021 and anticipate to conclude December 2022. A short break for Christmas will begin 23 December 2021 to 17 January 2022. General works hours will be between 7.30am to 5.00pm.
