While we may not be physically there to greet you, both of the co-hosts are only a phone call, text, or message away. We are owner/occupants of this neighborhood and feel very safe. However, we urge potential guests to also research the area prior to booking so that they may be informed. The Englewood neighborhood of Chicago was once the epicenter of Chicago life. The famous 63rd and Halsted square was the Gold Coast of Chicago before the Gold Coast on Michigan Avenue and now the area is under new revitalization. Your air b&b hosts are vested in community revitalization and there are many new amenities underway. The best thing about this neighborhood is how it is both: affordable AND close to downtown, Chicago. It is also home to two train lines straight into the heart of the city, ample busses and plenty of public transportation. Englewood, Chicago is a low income neighborhood, hence the affordable rates! We are 5-minutes, walking, from two CTA bus stops (#67 and #8), and less than 10-minutes from the CTA Green Line stop at 63rd and Halsted Street and the CTA Red Line stop at 69th Street. The Metra rail line, with service to downtown Union Station, is also located less than 10 minutes away. Please let us know if you have any transportation questions. We're happy to oblige. That's why it's dirt cheap with ample free parking. It's a great space, with great people and although it is close, it is not downtown. There aren't many restaurants or amenities, but great amenities are a hop, skip, jump away Our neighbor's tree get's berries in the walk way. We keep cutting it, but they keep dropping berries! It's impossible. Also watch out for street cleanings to not get a parking ticket* *Bookings for longer than four days may incur additional charges commensurate with excessive or extra cleaning or utility usage. We encourage guests to make themselves comfortable, but we must protect our utility, water, electric and gas usage. We hope you can understand.
