Cute holiday home near a huge forest and lakes

This holiday home is surprisingly spacious on the inside, although it looks small on the inside. It is situated in front of a renovated farmhouse and has its own part of the garden. Within walking distance are a huge forest and several lakes. Ideal place for swimming, biking and walking. Just around the corner is a farm where you can buy fresh dairy products. Also within walking distance is a very good restaurant. On the ground floor, the kitchen is equipped with a stove with oven. A combi microwave / oven can also be placed. There is a spacious fridge with separate freezer. The open kitchen is adjacent to the sitting / dining room. Here is a large comfortable sofa, 2 chairs and a dining area. The French doors give a view of the meadow with our sheep Mocca and Vanille.The whole cottage is heated with ease by the wood burning stove. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor. All beds are single beds. In the more spacious bedroom, the beds have electrically adjustable head and foot sections. The beds are 2 m long. A TV can be placed in the living room on request. The car can be parked near the gite. In the area (electric) bicycles can be rented. This is really a place to enjoy the peace and quiet. The forest starts around the corner. There you can take various walks or take the bicycle (rental company nearby) to make a nice trip. Here and there farmhouses and small villages. 10 minutes away is Lake Pirot with a beach. You can swim or fish there. Within 30 minutes you are in a town (St Amand Montrond). Picturesque village nerby such as Herisson, Bourbon l'Archambault and Apremont. Plenty of walking and cycling routes around the various lakes and in the forest. Maps available. Or go crazy and explore the forest with a dog sled (on wheels). Dogs are unfortunately not welcome. Our ginger cat, le Matou Roux: Max and Joris his feline friend do not like dogs. The house and area around it are free of cats . They all stay with the owners at the other side. The chickens however could be spotted when they go for a walk past the windows. In the house there is a wood burner, it easily heats the whole house. Rob and Nicole can lend you a hand by starting the fire. The cottage is in the countryside and is connected to a septic tank. This means that only biodegradable products can be thawed through.
