The guest accommodation is on the ground floor. Has a fridge kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery and includes breakfast. Free transport once a week to supermarket for refugee guests. Cycles/Canoe's/Climbing equipment etc, can be stored in the attached garage. Patio area, with table and chairs plus BBQ for sole use. Great view of castle and surrounding hills. Communal hall (shared with owner) private lockable entrance door, to your suite. Parking on small quiet road outside the house also, on the free car park directly opposite. Free parking outside property and free car park opposite with an electric car charging station. Welcome pack on arrival containing, coffee, tea, sugar and milk. If you require further items for your arrival, these can be obtained for you at cost. Your host respects your privacy during your stay but is on hand if you require any help. Due to Covid restrictions there is no maid service. Cleaning products and clean bedding available when required. Places of interest and information on weekly events will be on display in the hall. Car required as rural location with very limited public transport. Great location for walkers, cyclists, adventure sports, gliding, horse riding, historical visits. La Tour De France sometimes passes right by the house. Property located just outside the centre of the village on the Cathar trail. A number of local restaurants within easy walking distance. Very friendly village. Many local, country walks, English brewery, restaurants, swimming lake all within short walk. Pyrenees mountain walks within an hour. Lots of historical places of interest. Beaches within one and a half hours. Second bedroom has a very comfortable bed settee, accomodating up to two further guests at an extra charge. Rural location therefore, car is essential, as very limited public transport. Nearest shops, banking and doctors can can be found in Chalabre 11 mins by car (9.1 km) Swimming lake a short walk away. Puivert has a night market once a week in the summer months and is held down by the lake. The museum also holds concerts, performed on authentically made medieval instruments.
