Car required as rural location with very limited public transport. Great location for walkers, cyclists, adventure sports, gliding, horse riding, historical visits. La Tour De France sometimes passes right by the house. Property located just outside the centre of the village on the Cathar trail. A number of local restaurants within easy walking distance. Very friendly village. Many local, country walks, English brewery, restaurants, swimming lake all within short walk. Pyrenees mountain walks within an hour. Lots of historical places of interest. Beaches within one and a half hours. Second bedroom has a very comfortable bed settee, accomodating up to two further guests at an extra charge. Rural location therefore, car is essential, as very limited public transport. Nearest shops, banking and doctors can can be found in Chalabre 11 mins by car (9.1 km) Swimming lake a short walk away. Puivert has a night market once a week in the summer months and is held down by the lake. The museum also holds concerts, performed on authentically made medieval instruments.
