Whether just passing through on business, staying for a few nights to explore, or basing yourself whilst training for a sporting event, this convenient location has it all. Enjoy a comfortable stay in your own separate ground floor studio with private entrance. Only a minutes stroll down to the lakefront on the IM run course and as it states in the name, 2 miles from the town centre. Free unlimited WIFI and Netflix. *The unit is best suited for a maximum of 2 adults, or 2 adults and one child. * PLEASE NOTE: The INITIAL RATE IS BASED ON 2 people SHARING the king bed. So if the booking is made for 2 people, we assume 2 guests are sharing one room and the other bed won’t automatically be prepared. Linen is supplied by a third party and in order to avoid disappointment, please book the second room if you need it, so that the correct linen can be ordered. * There is an EXTRA CHARGE for more than 2 people or 2 single people wanting separate rooms. * If you are 2 single people but wanting separate rooms, please make the booking for 3 people so that the required beds are prepared ahead of your stay. * The unit consists of 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchenette with parking for only one car right in front of the unit. * There is no ‘common area’ or living room. The 2 private outdoor spaces where you can relax, make up for the absence of an indoor living room. * Two comfortable bedrooms with freshly ironed linen. Bedroom 1 has a super king bed and the second bedroom has one single bed (more suited for children). * The studio has a kitchenette equipped with microwave, bar fridge, dinnerware, toaster, kettle. * Breakfast is NOT included but there will be coffee, tea, milk, hot chocolate etc. * There is NO stove so unfortunately NO COOKING facility apart from a microwave oven to heat up something quick that does not require cooking. * For safety reasons, we ask that you DO NOT bring your own pots/pans/ gas stoves or electric plates. * Large separate bathroom with shower, toilet and double basins. * The bathroom opens up to a private outdoor space and this door also serves as main entrance to the unit. * All bed linen, towels (including beach towels) and hairdryer provided. * There is also plenty of space for locked storage of your bikes and other sporting equipment. Please ask about this. * Portacot available on request. Please ask for the cot if you want it prepared ahead of your stay. * Off street parking for ONE (1)car only. * Strictly no smoking inside or outside. * Although we live upstairs, you will have your privacy to come and go as you please, with your own entrance separate from the main house. * I'll pop in to say hello on arrival, however guests are left alone to enjoy their holiday. * There is a comprehensive guide to your studio and the many local activities on offer. * One of us is mostly at home and will be happy to assist with information about the local region and about New Zealand. * With prior arrangement, transport can be provided to and from the airport or the bus stop in town. * We are happy to advise on local attractions and must-see points of interest in the area. * Ideally located for athletes participating in or training for IRONMAN events and perfect for supporters as it's only 180m from the lakefront. * 2Miles from town centre. A brisk walk/cycle or 5 minutes drive. * 180m from the lakefront and theTwo Mile Bay Cafe- the only cafe on the water in Taupo. Here you can relax on a bean bag with a coffee whilst the kids play around on the pontoon, enjoy a sundowner after a lakeside stroll, or enjoy a woodfired pizza in a lovely atmosphere. * 50 minute drive to Rotorua * 1.5 hours to the charming Art Deco city of Napier. * Just over an hour's drive to the Whakapapa ski field or the Tongariro Crossing, and another 30 minutes further on to the Turoa ski field. Don’t forget the daily shuttle service from Taupo centre right to the base of Whakapapa ski slopes- easy. * How about a High Tea at the Chateau Tongariro at Mount Ruapehu. We are in Two Mile Bay which means we are 2 MILES FROM THE CENTRE OF TOWN, so it’s a lovely stroll or cycle into town or 5 minutes’ drive. There are also taxi services operating all over town but no other public transport. There is parking for only ONE car on the property. * We are in 2 Mile Bay- that means 2 miles from the town centre (please familiarise yourself if distance from town is important). *Our base rate assumes two people are sharing the main guest bedroom only. * If you are two people travelling together but want separate bedrooms, we charge an extra $30 per night. In this case, please make the booking for three people so that we can prepare both bedrooms for your stay. * Please note, no parties allowed. * The unit consists of 2 comfortable bedrooms, bathroom and kitchenette. There are 2 spaces outside to enjoy but NO lounge or common area inside the unit. *Please do not bring your own pots/pans/gas stoves or electric plates to cook on. * Please note: we have cats roaming around in the garden. They are not allowed in your unit but guests might sometimes allow them to sneak in. * Most guests have no trouble turning their cars around in our driveway, or even backing out the same way they came in. But it must be noted that the driveway is about 20m so if you are less confident in your backing out skills, you might want to consider turning your car around in the front of the house instead.
