Explore, Experience, Enjoy The two cottages are set into the side of a hill away from the farm residence. We are happy to chat and share our knowledge with you whilst at the same time respect your privacy and time to relax, enjoy, explore and experience the farm and the surrounding areas. Yea is a Cittaslow town ( Cittaslow is an organisation founded in Italy and inspired by the slow food movement. Cittaslow's goals include improving the quality of life in towns by slowing down its overall pace, especially in a city's use of spaces and the flow of life and traffic through them.) and very community- oriented. It has its own library, friendly post office, supermarket and various fastfood, good restaurants, 3 pubs. It also has access to two banks and a pharmacy. Access to surrounding areas are by car or bike: the cottages are 3kms by road from Yea, however, The Great Victorian Rail Trail offers an alternative way to access Yea via a 6km gentle ride or walk. The Trail also caters for horses. Buses run once a day to Seymour and the railway station on the main Melbourne line. The property is an active beef and sheep grazing property with livestock as well as wildlife (kangaroos, wombats, the occasional deer and some very interesting insects).
