Hideaway-Tarka trail dairy cottage with a twist

Welcome to this 200 year old traditional dairy cottage with a modern twist! Situated on a valley side which overlooks rolling fields and woodland, this cottage is perfect for those seeking comfort, location and some good old peace and quiet. For an old cottage on a typical Devonian hilly street, the space is light and airy with a long garden at the back (step access- not for the faint hearted) with the most incredible view of the valley. The house is in a great location, 20 mins from the beach, yet far enough off the beaten track to escape the traffic jams. Approx 1 hours drive to Exeter. Close to Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bude. Roll out of the house and onto the Tarka trail which heads up towards Braunton, or down inland into untouched countryside. Amazing countryside is literally on the doorstop. Torrington has so much to offer, with the local Arts and crafts centre, which has a small theatre and cinema. RHS Rosemoor, and Dartington Crystal which is the he only traditional glass factory left in the UK. There is an array of charming cafes, and pub restaurants locally, from organic delis to ex train station eateries. Several have lawned gardens with stunning views. Our small quaint pannier market has a farmers market on the Saturday mornings, and gift shops scattered through the town. Grab your essentials locally, where the butcher sells milk that comes from the cows you can watch on the hillside-whilst sat on the sofa! I live locally and can be contacted with any problems.
