Situated in the village of Penhelyg just 10 minutes walk to the centre of Aberdyfi. Tŷ Lafant offers you the chance to stay in former fishmerman's cottage. The house, set over 3 floors offers a stylish, boutique interior. Climb the cliff steps at the rear of the house to access the generous and beautiful garden, which offers breathtaking views of the Cambrain mountains and Dyfi estuary. Enjoy long coastal walks, local watersports or just relax in the garden with a cocktail admiring the view. Just 10 minutes walk at a meandering pace gets you to the center of Aberdyfi (via the road, flat walk), shops and the beach. Alternatively you can walk to the centre of Aberdyfi via the scenic cliff path offering beautiful views of the estuary. Penhelyg Park Gardens are 3 minutes walk from the property where you can access the Roman road path for a cliff walk (there is also a slipway in the park to launch kayaks etc). Penhelyg offers a quieter feeling away from the busy crowds at the centre of Aberdyfi. The Penhelyg Arms (offering food and drink) is 40 steps from the bar to the front door! There is a large paid car park 2 minutes walk from the house (Penhelyg Car Park). There are limited free spaces within walking distance, however in summer these tend to fill up quickly. Penhelyg rail station is adjacent to the property with a 2-hourly service north westwards to Barmouth, Harlech and Pwllhelli and a 2 hourly service eastbound to Machynlleth, Shrewsbury and Birmingham. There is a bus stop nearby with servces to Machylleth and Tywyn. Aberdyfi beach is 10 minutes walk.
