The apartment is self-contained with its own private garden and entrance. Fishing is available by prior arrangement, and many other fishing locations are available in the local area. The apartment has its own front door and private garden. The garden has a seating area and BBQ, and there's ample off-street parking. The apartment is self-contained and separated from the main house by internal doors. Although the apartment is private and self-contained, the hosts are on-hand next door and happy to answer any questions. Linlithgow is famous for its Palace, birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. The town has an excellent range of shops, supermarkets and leisure facilities. The railway station (on the main Glasgow to Edinburgh line) and access to the M9 motorway, make exploring central Scotland easy. The train to Edinburgh Waverley takes only 20 minutes into the centre of the city, making sightseeing and festival-going stress free. At New Year, extra trains from Waverley make for an easy commute to Linlithgow. You can be in Loch Lomond in an hour. Beecraigs and Muiravonside Country Parks are only a short distance away. There is a dry ski slope at Polmont and trips can be taken on the Union Canal from the quay at the bottom of Manse Road. Blackness Castle, also on the Outlander Trail, is just a short drive. Nearby Falkirk is home to the Wheel and the Kelpies. Glenavon House is near Linlithgow Bridge (closer than Airbnb's map shows). The property is within walking distance of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. Trains from Linlithgow station, where free parking is available, will take you into Edinburgh, Glasgow or Stirling. The property is also on a main bus route, making it very easy to get around. The kitchen is on the ground floor; stairs lead to the sitting room and bathroom; a further staircase leads to the bedrooms on the top floor. The property has no disabled facilities.
