Cougars Hollow Guest Suite/ bottom half house

You will find Couger Hollow Guest suite nestled in a private wooded area in close proximity to John Dean Provincial Park, Victoria International Airport, Sidney, and Saanichton. The cozy two bedroom accommodations include a fully provisioned kitchen and all the comforts from home. Cougars Hollow is located in the bottom half of our Rustic Log House. As the main floor of our house is built with logs the bottom half of the house is concrete and and regular walls. You still get that rustic log cabin feeling. We share our space with our beautiful dog Stella. She is super friendly and always loves to greet new people. As you sit on the patio that is located just outside the master bedroom suite you may encounter some wildlife, we often see deer, rabbit's and the occasional owl resting in the tree. The living room is set up to enjoy some quiet time with an extensive library and several books on local hikes and and the history of Vancouver Island. We do not have basic cable but do have Netflix to offer you are a movie buff. There is a blanket box full of warm cozy blankets for snuggling up. The bathroom and kitchen are fully equipped with all essential items. If ever there is something you may need just give us a call and we will see if we can help you out. The Master Bedroom is comfortably decorated with rustic Mexican wood furniture and looks out a set of double french doors to your own private patio overlooking our little forest. This room is stocked with extra blankets, pillows and spare towels. The closet also has a single roll out cot bed with a foam mattress for the floor. The second bedroom , I call the purple(girly room) is elegantly decorated with antiques and a local Vancouver Artist painting and prints adorning the walls. Our guests are free to roam the back, front and sides of the house, We have a huge yard for you to hangout in and do some yoga, read enjoy some quiet time. We have set up an outside eating area for your enjoyment . As Gerald and I are avid gardeners we love to share our garden with anyone who is interested so please take some time to explore the sides of the house as well as our extensive garden in the front. If you know anything about gardening you know it is always a work in progress. We are always around the house . If not I am reachable by phone. We live in a cul d sac with 5 houses including us in residence. It is a quiet neighborhood and would expect our guests to respect that. We live at the bottom of John Dean Rd. This road will take you 2km up to John Dean Provincial Park where you can explore several trails of different levels of mobility. At the beginning of John Dean Rd you will find the bus stops for the local transit system. 72 bus Route Schedule and Stops The 72 bus (Direction: Downtown) has 60 stops departing from Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal Passenger Loop and ending in Government at Belleville (Sb). Because we are in close Proximity(5km) to the YYJ Victoria Airport there are several options for car rentals. Please note that we are a NON SMOKING HOME. We ask that all guests smoke off our property. We are a pet friendly home and would expect that you clean up after your dog and not allow them on the furniture. No exceptions. When leaving the property they are secure in a cage or one of the bedrooms. We do have an extra cage if necessary. We also work and and want to remind you that quiet time is 10pm. The weekend we do give a little extra as we also like to entertain guests. Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands of British Columbia are popular destinations for cyclists to explore by bike, whether on a ride for a few hours, a full day, or an extended cycling touring expedition. With a bicycle, a map-book, a small tent, and just the basic camping equipment, outdoor adventurers can enjoy the solitude of the BC wilderness without incurring excessive cost and hassle. We would like our guests to enjoy everything there is about Vancouver Island . And are always willing to give tips and suggestions of fun things to do.We have a secure garage for your bikes if you bring them . We also have a few extra bikes for your enjoyment .
