Cozy accommodation surrounded by nature

The apartment or the part of the house is exclusively for guests. The rooms of the more than 100 year old house have been renovated to preserve the charm of the house. The property is located in the agricultural zone surrounded by woods and fields. The accommodation is functional and simply furnished. A well-equipped kitchen with dining area invites you to cook for yourself. Ideal retreat from hectic areas. Rikon is a good starting point for activities. In the bedroom is a double bed with a wardrobe. The living room is equipped with satellite television, DVD player and radio. The bathroom is in the adjoining room of the bedroom. The apartment is spread over 2 floors, climbing stairs is required. Own garden seat, washing machine with dryer, coffee machine, kettle, hair dryer, TV, DVD, radio. We are not a hotel, but we are ready to provide part of our home to travelers, even for one night only. We also provide generous inventory for use at a fair price. But we expect that the accommodation will be treated with care and respect like a home. The whole guesthouse is at guests disposal. We do not enter the accommodation without the guests' invitation. Guests are allowed to share parts of the garden. For two nights booked the use of the washing machine is included. Basically, we leave our guests their space and wish the same of them, for questions of all kinds, we are happy to help. But if it suits all sides, we'll be happy to chat with guests or have tea / coffee. Languages: We speak German, but we can communicate in English and French. In Rikon there is a village shop and various restaurants. The village has its own public swimming pool. The nearby forest can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. Rikon is part of the municipality of Zell and surrounded by nature. The house is located in the agricultural zone and is surrounded by nature and fields. In summer, there are various ways to enjoy nature and relax. Or you can explore the area, for example with the steam train that leaves from Bauma or the nearby castle Kyburg. Rikon has its own swimming pool, which is open during the summer months. In winter, when there is enough snow, there is the possibility to ski down smaller slopes in the nearby area. 1 km from the house is the river Töss, there you can walk along the shore or you can walk around the Himmelrich pond which is 2 km away. The centers of Winterthur are 12 km, Zurich 28 km, Schaffhausen 38 km and Frauenfeld 26 km by car. The train station is about 1km, about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the property. Since the shooting range is located in the immediate vicinity, which is however little used, it can be a bit noisy in the garden for a short time. In the house but you hear little of the bang.
