Barrytown mother-in-law apartment.

A private studio attached to our house; peaceful, light-filled, both centrally located and off the beaten path. We are within walking distance of the river and southern Tivoli Bays on public trails; two miles from Bard College, five minute drive to Red Hook and Tivoli, 10 minutes to Rhinebeck, twenty minutes to Hudson, Woodstock and the Catskills. A perfect retreat with a super comfortable King-sized bed, kitchen and no TV!(we do have internet). Our mother-in-law apartment is its own private space, with a separate entrance and easy parking in front of the house. We are always available by phone or text. Barrytown is surrounded by 5 large estates, 3 of which have trails which are open to the public (Montgomery Place also offers house tours in season.) It is a great base for exploring the Hudson Valley and a perfect spot to relax and recharge. We are a 10 minute drive from the Rhinecliff Amtrak station and the spas, shops and restaurants of Rhinebeck; 20 minutes from Hudson (antiques and restaurants); and 20 minutes from Woodstock and the Catskills. From our house you can walk to the river and bays or just stroll down our quiet, dead-end road past fields full of deer and other wildlife (if you are lucky you may see foxes, bald eagles or herons!) We have guest parking for one car. To reach any of the near-by towns you will need a car or car service. In warm weather guests are welcome to use our bicycles (Bard College is a 12 mins cycle ride). The apartment is totally private. Late arrivals are not a problem so long as guests are happy to let themselves in.
