A large, charming detached house in a private location with splendid views of rural Shropshire, all within a 2-3 minute walk of this medieval market town. Primrose Cottage has a lovely feel - spacious rooms, a beautifully landscaped garden and modern furnishings with a cosy touch Perfect for wedding guests at many local venues, weekend visitors and business trips. Market Drayton offers a wide variety of amenities including shops, restaurants, good bus connections, tea rooms and homely pubs. Accommodation includes breakfast consisting of Orange Juice, selection of Cereals, Fresh Fruit, Yogurt, Croissant/Toast, Tea or freshly brewed Coffee. Our home is in a quiet and peaceful setting, but within 2/3 minutes walk of the town centre. The market town of Market Drayton is within easy access to the attractions available for you to visit in Shropshire and the surrounding counties, including walking trails, museums, art centres, the Potteries (Wedgewood) and the historic town of Ironbridge (30 minutes by car). We are also well-connected to the major cities of Birmingham, Manchester and Chester with Stafford train station within a 30 minute drive. Jean has worked for Market Drayton's visitor centre and will be more than happy to recommend lovely local walks and places to visit to make the most of your stay. Two bedrooms are available with a king-sized beds, the second bedroom for other family members/friends with access to a luxurious private bathroom with a double bath, separate shower cubicle and fresh towels. A large lounge is also reserved for your private use, with two sofas, an armchair and a large Smart TV. Perfect to cosy up in front of the fire after a day out. Our recently refurbished kitchen, with dining area is where you can enjoy your breakfast. Having lived here for 21 years we can also recommend plenty of places to grab a quick bite, enjoy a local pint or book a special meal WiFi access is available throughout the house, and you can adjust radiators to a temperature comfortable for you Each room has water Tea/Coffee and cookies available You will have access to private on-site parking, as well as our pride and joy - our sprawling landscaped garden and summer house (!) which boasts stunning unspoilt views of the Shropshire countryside for the ultimate relaxation. Unwind with a drink on our patio, with its outdoor table/chairs and BBQ facilities. Guests can come and go as they please via the front or back door. We are a retired couple who enjoy meeting and interacting with people. We love to travel, but also love our home and garden. We are always available should you need anything, but our aim is to leave you in peace so that you can enjoy your stay. We have two small Yorkshire Terriers (Suki and Poppet!) that are part of our family. They are very friendly but will not interfere with your stay. 10 minutes walk from our home is the Shropshire Union Canal, giving access to the Newcastle Way which is a picturesque walk from Market Drayton to Mow Cop and links to the Staffordshire Way. There is an outdoor market every Wednesday throughout the year. An hourly bus service will take you to Shrewsbury and the Potteries, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent. We can provide numbers for taxi services available in the town. The nearest rail station is Stafford (25 minute drive) but Crewe, Shrewsbury and Telford are all within a 35 minute drive The nearest airports are Manchester and Birmingham International. Arrangements can be made to collect and deliver you to either airport. The house is cleaned and prepared for your arrival, and access is usually available from 2pm, but can be earlier on request. Checkout is at 11am unless we've made other arrangements.
