Chez Chagnaud is set in the beautiful rolling hills of the sunny Nouvelle Aquitaine (Charente Maritime) region of South West France. This lovely 3 bedroom, 19th century farmhouse has been beautifully renovated with comfortable furnishings and a wealth of original features including original stone fireplace, exposed stone walls and oak beams. Lots of natural light flows through the house. very quiet idyllic surrounding, great for bike rides, and many day trips by car. The entire house is available. There is so much to do in this department (Nouvelle Aquitaine, formerly known as Charente Maritime) of France, literally in every direction there are gorgeous places to discover. We are on the edge of Charente and Aquitaine department, Dordogne is not that far. 3.5hr drive to St. Sebastian Spain. 1.5hrs to the islands of Re,Aix,Oleron. Nearest small city is Jonzac, Bordeaux,Saintes,Cognac,Angouleme are all 45 mins drive away. Fast train from Paris to Angouleme or Bordeaux. Airport La Rochelle (1.5hrs), Bordeaux (50mins). A car is a must! The village of Leoville is a bike ride away, boulangerie, butcher, post office. Rural quiet environment. However 15 minjute drive to Jonzac for everything you need, including indoor pools of "Les Antilles", chateau, roman ruins,restaurants, classic french marche twice a week, movies, etc....
