Hamlyn Farmhouse, Broadwater near Stanthorpe

Hamlyn Farmhouse is the ideal place to stay for your visit to the Granite Belt region, be it with friends, family or a romantic getaway. Accommodating up to six (6) people, the renovated farmhouse with VJ’s and polished floors is approximately 100 years old and is situated on a private and peaceful 12 hectares (27 acres) in the suburb of Broadwater, less than 10 minutes drive to Stanthorpe’s main street and within easy access to wineries, national parks and other regional attractions. The farmhouse is separately fenced from the rest of the property, which also has a dam, pastures and wooded areas to explore. Please note that whilst the house isn't really suitable for younger children (under 12 years), we do have lots of families with young ones stay BUT only after we have a conversation with you about how to manage the potential safety issues. If you have younger children and are interested in staying at our property please drop us a line so that we can discuss. You are welcome to explore the property from the house yard through to the front entrance. Kangaroos are frequently seen, along with an abundance of birdlife including Rosellas, King Parrots, Red Wing Parrots, Bower Birds, Black Cockatoos and the occasional Wedgetail Eagle. The farmhouse is the only accommodation on the property so you will have peace and privacy during your stay. There are two queen bedrooms and a third bedroom with two single beds. The bedrooms include quality linen, doonas and electric blankets. There are also fan heaters in each of the bedrooms. There is a well equipped kitchen with gas stove/electric oven and microwave and adjoining dining area. The cosy lounge includes a wood fireplace, LED TV and DVD Player. For those seeking a little quiet time there is also an enclosed sunroom with a day bed, desk and couch.
