This quaint self contained weatherboard cottage is situated in a quiet street adjacent to Throsby Creek and cycleway linking the harbour, Newcastle Yacht Club & Marina, the exciting Honeysuckle precinct, Newcastle CBD & beaches, cafes and restaurants Throsby Creek Cottage offers 3 large bedrooms all with built-in robes, Ipod alarm clock radios, ceiling fans & reverse cycle ducted air conditioning - 2 with queen size beds, 1 with a double bed and desks in 2 bedrooms. Children are welcome. Cot and highchair are available on request. The cottage provides everything you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay from modern cooking and laundry facilities and foxtel. All linen and towels are supplied. The courtyard has bbq facilities and an outdoor table. Information about the cottage and surrounding area including brochures & maps is provided in a folder at the house. I live locally and am available at any time should you need. Only a short distance from Beaumont Street where you'll find quirky antique and secondhand shops, bookstores, boutiques, specialty shops and dozens of cafes,restaurants and bars. Within walking distance you'll find the Fishermen's Co-op, cafes, restaurants, yacht club, Uprising bakery & cafe and Maryville Tavern. There is a bus nearby which takes you into town and close to the beach or in the other direction to Mt Hutton via Mayfield, Mater Hospital & Westfield shopping centre at Kotara. Hamilton train station is a 5 min drive from the house. It is only 25 metres from Throsby Creek with a cycleway which takes you past the Fishermen's Co-op & marina, Honeysuckle cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars & shops to Nobbys beach in one direction and following the creek to Islington park with children's playground & picnic facilities in the other.
